Cat put down - brain damage and multiple fractures. I'd like to drop the boys off the balcony, anyone got any better ideas?

Your first answer of course is “see how they like it”. Drop them from a great height, break their bones, damage their brains, hurt them, punish them, brand them. My guess is, these boys have already been hurt.

The urge to torture animals just doesn’t come out of the blue. Some one has to have spent some time smacking, hurting, breaking these boys until the rage built up in then that they had to take it out on the one thing they could find that was smaller and weaker then they were.
To vengefully punish then would just confirm “what [these] schoolchildren learn” the world is a place of no comfort or help. They need help to control their rage. And for our own sake, we need to know what’s causing this rage or we can just wait until they shoot up a business and put them on deathrow.

How old? I'm just wondering, because who was around to stop them? Apparently nobody. That is VERY sick. The balcony thing is an idea. Any remorse? Are we talking sociopaths in the making?
I'd like to see them scared straight-really worked on so they can experience fear. I'm trying to see this from the cat's point of view and what he/she was going through. Helplessness. I want them to feel that, too. Someone's going to say, "It's just a cat! Get real." And I'm going to get a little more perturbed and add someone else to the list that needs to learn a lesson.

Sadly, the person(s) who did this cruel act is/are very messed up. Their sentence should be to get intensive counseling, because if they do not get help to find out why they think it is ok to inflict such suffering onto an animal, their behavior will progress to thinking it is ok to inflict suffering onto humans, i.e., rapists, serial killers. Whoever did this, I hope the court is educated enough to realize there is a serious problem with this person(s), and it needs to be stopped NOW. In our society, cruelty to animals is not taken nearly as seriously as it should be, as a sign that something is VERY wrong with a person if they could even think of doing something like that, let alone ACT on their thoughts to hurt anyone or anything.

thats a good idea well if the cat weighed 8 lbs
and the boy weighed 132 lbs he should be dropped of the 16th floor 5 times (or the 80th floor once) because he's approxametly 16 times his weight

I think that if I were a Judge i would order 500 hours of community service to be served at the nearest animal shelter, and a psychiatric evaluation.
Unfortunately kids sometimes do very stupid things because they can't foresee the consequences of their actions. I don't think that the intention was to kill the cat.
I'm a cat lover(have 2) and if someone did that to one of my cats i'd probably want to beat them senseless (if not worse).

No I believe you are right, the boys deserve to get dropped off a balcony themselves.

drop them off the 5th floor balcony a few times, see how they like it. that is so sad about that innocent cat had to go through that, I'm glad to hear it doesn't have to suffer anymore.

Anything that would cause emense pain. Legally: Prison. Wishful Thinking: for them to be dropped off a balcony themselves.
