Lets see, about half of the yahoo answers, have to do with pregnancy and when they were last ovulating, the other half is athiests that ask, why we read the bible, why we enjoy worshipping something that doesn't exist, why we do what we do as Christians. My question, is WHO CARES? WHY do you care who I worship, and if my judgement on something is irrelevant? I believe in what I want to believe in, do you think asking questions as to why Christians read a book that was written years ago, proves that there's a God, is going to somehow gravitate me to your way of believing. Or asking why do we pray, cause no one answers prayers, no.. nothing is going to change a Christians point of view. Let us believe in what we want to believe in and leave us alone.
Why is it, that you atheists, question everything that Christians do, you question our faith, our god, our bible... If you dont' believe in any of it, why do you care? Let it die. Let it go.

athiests sure do ask a lot of questions, like they're trying to prove a point. pointing out science fiction, and other things, doesn't mean that God doesn't exist. And if he doesn't exist, and you don't care, then why always ask why we believe in a bible, or a jesus, or a man invisably in the sky. WHO CARES?

Why do you ask about God, is their maybe a possibility in your small and listless mind, that there could be something more powerful than yourself? If not a God, do you believe in anything? Why do you constantly have the need to prove to other christians that there IS NOT a god... ?

In response to Christy.
I wasn't meaning to get an argument started at all. I was merely asking why, Athiests try to get someone to question their faith. As a christian you are going to fall, and many times, that's the reason for "forgiveness", but you may or may not question your faith based on what a non believer says. It doesn't bother me, however, it's just kind of amusing how someone who doesn't believe in God is extremely chatty when the subject comes up. And asks why Christians, believe in this and that.. Who cares.

Unbelievers are like dumb mules that follow those or surround those who are better than them. They realize that they are hellbound. They know that their time is running out. They are a deer in who staring at headlights and won't know what hit them!

Atheists become atheists by asking a lot of questions and by not accepting a lot of answers. Atheists are not atheists because they are ignorant about religion , on the contrary Most atheists I know including myself know a great deal about the world religions,
They are atheists because after long and serious examination of the god concept they came to the conclusion that it is simply not true.
The problem that nonbelievers are having with believers is that believers are not satisfied with a live and let live policy. They want to change America to reflect their beliefs.Christians are absolutely convinced that their way is the ONLY way and that any other belief system quite honestly should not be taken seriously. As such they represent a very real threat to the American way of life and the American way of thought.
Part of the Great Pilgim Myth is that the Pilgims came here so that they could practice their own religion without fear of persecution so far so true. But what did they do when they got here ? They set up a very strict theocracy that didn't allow anyone else to practice THEIR religion. That's what's happening today;Because the Christian Right has the ability to get the vote out , they can dictate puplic policy that may very well negatively effect those that aren't Christian ,and that is beyond wrong.
If you are a devout Christian and you don't believe in abortion, then when you get pregnant ,don't get one, but don't deny someone else the right to get one.
sorry about the ramble even I get tired.

I like asking questions and giving answers that I hope will make Christians really think about what they believe. None of them have the slightest evidence to support the existence of a God, yet many of them are willing to kill and die for this entity, and they vote people into office who are also willing to kill--as we can see from our President, who never hides that he believes Jesus tells him what to do. It is a dangerous thing when the deluded are granted political power, and not many people are more deluded than those who believe that a donkey talked, or that the sun stood still in the sky, or that there's an invisible realm up in the sky where good people go after death, or that a deity came to Earth as a human being. When the same people who believe these fairy tales also decide what children should be taught in school (creationism, abstinence-only sex ed., 10 Commandments, etc.), and determine local, state, and national law, then yes, I certainly do care. When you Christians learn to mind your own damn business instead of interfering with everyone else's lives, then I'll quit caring about whatever fantasies you choose to fill your heads with.

My point about athiests is that - why do they spend so much time arguing with something that they don't believe in. I think because they don't want to believe in it so much that they have to spend so much time on that nothing that they want to make sure that everyone knows that they don't believe in.
Religous Christians have put God in their own box, like a cultural thing. People who have a direct connection with the creater are totally different than "religous domatics"
Prayer to you might seem fake to you. But, prayers do get answered, not only how we want them to be.
If a person has a personal relationship with the Higher Power....then prayer is a commuication. All relationships depend on communication. Thus prayer is essentional in a personal relationship with God.

There is a lot of chatter about worship, prayers, rules, etc.....but right down to it- it was a personal relationship between a person and their creator. There is a spiritual demision out there that we can't begin to understand. Thus we have what is called ...FAITH

WHO CARES?
Aparently not you. I care about people taking a perfectly good brain and flushing it down the toilet.

I would be glad to leave you alone. But first you need to get all the other christians to stop interfering with my life using your religion as their tool. Christians made the first strike against Atheists. We are merely protecting our rights to be free of oppression.

When I can say I am an Atheist without being told someone will pray for me or that I am going to hell then I will stop careing.

Your question has alot of circular thinking you may want to review it and correct the mistakes.

Anything greater than me? Sure but it is not god.
Why question god? Because every time I turn on the news I see science being limited or people rights being trampled on because of some religion.

I am not an Athiest. I am not a Christian. I ask a lot of questions because I am genuinly curious about things. I am not trying to get you to doubt yourself or your religion. If you are that easily put into doubt then you can't say you are truly a Christian. I was a Christian at one time and when I left Christianity I had a lot of unanswered questions. I never got anyone to answer them and it seems like there are a lot of people here that want to try to answer questions as best as they are able. Why shouldn't I ask questions? Can't we have a nice chat about something without someone getting all upset and fighting? That is kind of childish don't you think?

There are 2 types of atheists. The ones on the battlefield, screaming and bleeding in battle of brains and shouts against religion, and the ones in the void who are not known of as much.

They do it for fun, to prove their superiority. But then don't forget they are pressured by the religious to be religious which causes them to fight back.

Many atheists don't fight, I being one of them. Everyonce in a while I'll make one point or one simple argument just to laugh at people's responses, but I don't go out in full brute logic force. If anyone wants to fight religion with their brains, don't bother will yahoo answers, the Christians here are really really lame when it comes to debate. I just asked a question and I got the same horrible answer 11 times or something. They don't adapt to perspective.

For all you atheists on the battlefield go debate with a Christian Scientist, it is much more challenging.

Atheists question because they have doubts, this is the best answer to that question. Accept the Atheists questions as there own disbelief. It really is simple. A true atheist would not be on here questioning gods words if they did question then they would not be an atheist. Because what would be their purpose to create more atheist?? and what profit would there be in that but more confusion? If they believe in nothing why question those that believe. Really now that makes no sense why should they care if they are atheist?? It would profit them nothing at all. Maybe they are not atheists at all just questioning their own doubt!!!

What the Bible tells about God:

PSALMS 19:1 - The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

What the Bible tells about those who doesn't believe in God:

PSALMS 10:4 - The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

PSALMS 14:1 - The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

PSALMS 53:1 - The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

I don't care how you worship... I'd never tell you you are wrong to do as you wish. I come to R&S because when I was in college comparative religions was one of my favorite subjects on my curriculum and I'm more interested in the sociological view of belief than anything else. As far asI'm concerned each invididual has the right to choose for themselves what to believe and I've never taken a swipe in question form at christianity or any other religion.

Satan puts it in the hearts of these athiests to cause contention among Christians, even though athiests don't believe in satan either. Just as God can use a non-believer to serve his purpose, so can satan.

Either that or they really want to believe in God but think its much cooler to be an athiest because they are making some kind of statment.
