No.

If you reward terrorists for taking hostages then all that will happen is that more people will be taken hostage.

If you want to end this - then I suggest that you support the Israeli proposal that _real_ peacekeepers be placed on their border.

No they shouldn't. The Israeli soldiers were taken by Hezbollah for no other reason then to cause a fight and to get a prisoner exchange. The Hezbollah prisoners are being held because they were in Israel and wreaking havoc on Israeli civilians.

Would you let a murderer in prison out because some yahoo off the street took a police officer hostage? Or would you say...No way, the murderer stays in jail. We'll send a SWAT team to get the officer freed.

Think about it...not everything is cut and dry, and you need to look at how the cons vastly outweigh the pros.

Yes, but Israel is not in the mood to bargain in good faith. The government and people have decided to be "tough" toward their enemy. It is very much like Bush's attitude toward the Middle East. Bush and Israel are being the Stern Fathers, but look at what they have accomplished. Almost nothing positive has been achieved, and everything in the area looks worse than six years ago.
Look at where we are in terms of Iran. We now have a stern father figuring threating Israel and America as President of Iran. There is no improvement their. In Iraq, we have a complete mess which we do not know how to clean up without years of further dying and suffering.
If you look at Turkey, they are contemplating attacking part of Iraq to go after the Kurdish rebels. This is a possible widening of the current war. Syria is almost isolated and angry. Pakistani is building its ability to create nuclear materials. India is very upset about this development. And Lebanon is a battle ground.
Bush and the current Israel government has mismanaged everything. We could not have done worse if we were trying.

Absolutely, 100% NOT. Kidnapping will continue to be popular tactic as long as it is successful (demands are met). So you meet their demands to get the hostages back. Then there is simply more and more kidnapping and more and more demands because it WORKED. However, even in principle, a trade should be of EQUAL value. Trading over a THOUSAND terrorists (including high-level leaders) is not an equal trade for TWO infantrymen. If you negotiate with terrorists in this manner, you directly contribute to an increase in kidnappings, and releasing more and more prisoners, giving them money (and more money next time), giving them territory, priviledges, and whatever else they feel like kidnapping someone to trade for.

No, the Israeli's have actual terrorists in their grasps, the Israeli soldiers are merely defense forces..

Unless the soldiers have family up high in Israeli ranks, that cant possibly be a smart move, especially now, they have to root out Hezbollah in Lebanon, so that the Real Lebanese people can control all their land, free of Syrian and Iranian influence.

because it is the purely thanks to carry him abode. there is not any different selection. --------------------- this isn't the first time the form of deal has been made. there's a lot precedent, and each and every time the non secular (pretty) correct says no soldier is worth putting multiple civilians (ie, settlers in the experience that they were telling the reality of what they truly imagine) in possibility. yet do not youngster your self. If one among their rabbis were abducted by terrorists they could be screaming for an replace to maintain the "holy guy" at any value.

Yes, but Israel is not serious in getting back its soldier, she is more interested to destroy Lebanon, Syria and Iran and all muslims around the world.

WHY SHOULD TERRORISTS ALWAYS BE APPEASED. WHY SHOULD THE TERRORISTS BE ABLE TO MAKE DEMANDS. RELEASE HUNDREDS OF POTENTIAL. MURDERERS, AND SUICIDE BOMBERS. I DONT THINK SO. WHAT SO THEY CAN GO KIDNAP MORE ISRAELI'S SOLDIERS AND START ALL OVER AGAIN. THERE ARE ENOUGH MARTYRS ALREADY OUT THERE. WITH OUT ADDING MORE. KILL THE TERRORISTS. CAPTURE MORE IF YOU WANT. BUT RELEASE THE ONES THEY HAVE. NEVER.
