I have read a lot of people saying that Christians tell them they will burn in hell. I have never heard a true Christian say that, except maybe a fire and brimstone type minister, which is not my style!!! Or Jesus' for that matter....
Please don't believe that ALL Christians say this to people.

Now, if I believe God's Word, which I do, HE TELLS US WHAT IT TAKES to be saved--so in a way, we do know. It takes Jesus and someone does not have Jesus in their heart, then according to GOD, they will not make it. If I pass this along to someone-I am not judging but informing.

Good for you. I am also a follower of Christ, and I don't say that either. We're supposed to help people find God, not make attempts to scare them into it. I hate it when other Christians do this. It's counter-evangelistic, even though they have the right intentions.

Yes. From what I've heard, Christians are supposed to be accepting, peaceful and loving people. Though I have never met a Christian that fits this description, I believe a true Christian would believe strongly that it is neither their right or their privilege to declare who goes to hell and who does not. A true Christian with the love in their heart like Jesus had for all mankind would love all of their brothers (because God made them and he made them a certain way) and would leave that judgement up to God himself, and no other. It is a sin to judge, is it not?

I don't think I have ever met a true Christian who did this either. Jesus said let the one who is without sin cast the first stone. we are all sinners on whom God has bestowed his mercy through Christ. I can only tell others what God has done in my life. A relationship with God is not supposed to be about "fire insurance". It's about perfect love. You are right--not Jesus' style. He would be hanging with the ones we would consign to hellfire and brimstone.

I don't say all of you do. I do say that some of you do and it is the truth. If you are saying my grandmother isn't a true Christian then you are so WRONG! My grandmother is a Christian and is a very good Christian but she tells me that I must accept God as my saviour or I will burn in hell forever.

I don't believe ALL Christians do this. But I do know that it goes on between different religions. I hear Baptists thinking Catholics will go to hell and that Catholics think that Protestants are hellbound and Christians thinking Islamic people are going to hell and it goes on and on. I've even seen it on this site several times. It's really sad.

You are a true Christian who follows the teachings of Christ. Sadly there are many so called "Christians" that feel it is their duty to judge who will suffer in the afterlife and who will not, they will be dealt with accordingly.

hi lol
in christianity followers' hearts , there is the lovingkindness &
clemency...that is true...I mean TRUE christianity
this kind of error-that you are talking about- is common in rlgns
I mean, generally it appears from certain %age of followers.
The fact -as I see- that we can't even judge our deeds!
not others....bcz we don't know intuitions..we know-partially-
only some side of the intire issue..
the rigth is , we do...and let God judge all....
we all do mistakes for ourselvs&others
He-God- does his willing...either forgive or punish..
I mean God dosn't look to a rlgn but inside our hearts..
It doesn't mean anything that my rlgn is so,yours is so...etc
thanks

You don't sound like the kind of christian most atheists dislike. You might even have atheistic friends and not know it.
Saying you will pray for me is like me saying I will think for you. It is just as insulting as saying I am going to hell.
