It depends, are you planning on getting married?
Look at it this way, some people prefer not to be married. Are they bad for wanting to experience something like that without marriage?

Of course it's bad. God invented sex as a way for married couples to bond. The Bible says on several cases that fornication (it isn't called sex between unmarried couples) is wrong.
If you're not Christian, there are other reasons too. Your virginity is something very special, and you should want to save that special something for the person you spend the rest of your life with. If you give it away now, you will not be able to give it to your spouse.
Besides, numerous studies have shown that relationships involving premarital sex are far less successful than those that do not.

Bad isn't the word. Ill-advised is a better choice. Premarital sex gets in the way of truly knowing the character of each other. To make a marriage that lasts, the best way is to observe the prospective spouse in non-dating, non-romantic situations. Life has far more of these than any other.

It depends on the religion and culture of the people you are asking. It also depends on how YOU were brought up. Nowadays, it is rare that you find someone who gets married a virgin.
There are a lot of pros and cons to premarital sex. Try to weigh all your options so you would know personally how to judge if it is "bad". What is "bad" after all? Many different kinds of people have many different kinds of activities that they think are "bad". What is bad for someone... could be good for someone else.
For me, it is "bad"
-when it is all you ever think of doing and it affects the quality of your life, your job or your studies, your friends and family
-if you let all the guys you date have sex with you (I personally advise only having sex with the person you love... so then, it's making love and not just having sex)
-if you don't use protection (don't just think STD's here, think... babies...babies...babies)
- if it causes pain to others. (Example... having sex with people who are already in a relationship or are married)
what about you? what are your beliefs? Look into your heart and ask yourself: what do YOU think of OTHER people you know, who already had sex?
Are you physically and emotionally ready to engage in sex? This should not be a question of whether it is "bad" or not. It should be a personal decision. Why do you want to do it? Hopefully, not just because... "everybody is doing it".
More importantly, is the person you want to do it with, deserving of such a deep connection? Try to think of sex as in sharing a lot of yourself with someone else, and not just a way of having an orgasm. After all... you can achieve that... even on your own! (and it's safer too!)
Hope this helps.
And here's something me and my girls have lived by:
"Flirt around... but don't F**k around... and always be safe!"

It seems today people forget traditions and do what ever they feel they want to do. Me first and the hell with anyone else's opinions. Well marriage was a custom developed for a practical reason and sometimes love was not a consideration, but it maintains order of things. It gives purpose to a family. Look at out of wed lock families and how complex things get to be . It is true that some get married for the wrong reasons. In todays society it feels conforting to know where you came from and that you have two parents from which to draw guidlines- hopefully healthy ones.
20 years from now when you run into your former fling you may find yourself embarrased or angry as the case may be that they gave you a life long disease that medicine wa not able to cure.

I am a Catholic. So it only makes sence that I am going to say yes from a spiritual standpoint, and I am sure that you have had that drilled into you. How about from a practical standpoint? Premarital sex bonds you with someone that dosen't care enough about you to marry you, but wants to use your body to make themselves feel good. You can end up having babies out of wedlock with people that don't want to be a part of the child's life (I am out of wedlock, and my "dad" wanted nothing to do with me) or worse, people that want you to destroy a part of yourself by having an abortion. Bottom line, someone who really cared about you would want to wait untill marriage to sleep with you. Diseases, pregnancy, emotional upheaval...not worth going through with someone who dosen't think enough about you to make you their spouse.

I don't think so, I am a virgin and will try to stay one until I'm married- but if i am with the person i am going to marry and have a life with, i see no problem in showing that person that level of trust and commitment i am willing to give someone becoming there wife.

It can bring on a flood of emotions for everyone in the web of consequences, yes. It can be life altering for the party girl who thinks life is a fiesta. The suitor will undoubtably feel the rush of financial responsibility on his future paycheck of unknown source.

XXXXXXXXXXXXX It's bad depending on which religion you are but if you aren't religious, sex before marriage is worth having because when two virgins get married and neither knows how to satisfy their new spouse, the honeymoon ends before it starts. XXXXXXXX

no, i believe that without a sexually fulfilling relationship a marriage would not work. So if two bodies are compatable in the sack and you jump right into marriage and it happens and it's absolutly horrible then well your left with one awful situation. And judges don't null marriages for bad sexual expeirnces
