Yes, once I saw a cat even more laid back than yours...but it was dead.

Yes the cat at my doctors office is so mellow he just lays on the appointment book and on the magazines in the waiting room . If you pet him he gives you a look like okay now what? When he is really perky he will bring you a piece of candy from the bowl of candy in the nurses lunch room. I always take the candy and give it out to the lady that lives outside in the alley. She and her little dog like the candy and like the cat also. The cat was a stray and the doctor took him him and lets the patients pet or complain about him. Seems to help some.

That is my cat for the most part...when she was about a year old we started getting mice in our basement, so I thought "Hey, she's a cat, so she'll catch it." So I took her down there and left her there for about an hour. When I went to find her she had vanished. We were scared to death that she was stuck somewhere in the basement, but we eventually found her...asleep in a dark corner.
If I'm making my bed or changing the sheets, she'll lay on the bed and refuses to move - I can cover her completely and it doesn't bother her.

I don't agree that most are... but my mom inherited my grandma's cat, who was also a fluffly tuxedo, and she was like that. She was the sweetest ever. I could walk around with her laying around my neck like a stole and she would just purr. She died a few years ago. Miss her.

i had a cat that was exactly like that. he wasn't fat either just very laid back. i prefer them that way though cuz then you don't have to worry about them tearing up your curtains or getting into things they shouldn't. i say as long as he's a healthy cat just let him be.

Yes, his name is B'ghan (Pumpkin)
you can hit him with a magazine and he'll still purr
he is morbidly obese though, but still a sweet cat
