I am a spiritual person. I am not religious per se, but believe in God. I don't believe in having a denomination. I believe there is good and evil surrounding us all the time. I pray all the time for God's help and to show me his will and that he will send his angels to fight off the demons that are always trying to attack my weaknesses as a person. I believe God is so great, we just can not imagine his wisdom, love, grace and mercy. I believe there is a devil. I think he is cunning, destructive, finds pleasure in ruin and loves to mislead us any way he can. Even when bad things happen to me, I thank God for the lessons I have learned, each and everyone of them. I am grateful to be so blessed. I wonder how others face the woes of any given day, how they stay centered, strong and focused. I wonder if others believe in prayer, diligence, patience and by giving of ones self and love to others because all things work for good in God's plan. I believe my judge is God only. I am a realist.

wow i believe the same way just never thought anyone else did, and believe i have had a lot of bad things happen to me.. but i also thank God for the lesson learned.. cause i believe you cant smile until you've shed some tears cant truly enjoy laughter til you've cried.. But i believe God allows Satan to do so much cause Jesus has already defeated him..

HI - you are a realist ( a believer ), and you nailed it! You clearly have the Holy Spirit living in you and you have God's truth revealed to you in faith.
I am not sure if you are saying that this belief is troubling - or if you are just expressing yout belief in it.
As you wrote - God is with us and "all things work together for good for those that love God" . All things - even those we do not competely understand at the time - and that include your spiritual sense of things around you. There is a purpose from the Lord in it, rest in that.
Stay steadfast in the word and prayer, and as God to reveal his plan and purpose for you daily.
I aagree with you about the presence of things spiritual - they are certainly battling in our world through man - and we can cannot fully comprehend all that we cannot see. But... we know God is sovereign and we know the end of the story.
But... find a church you love and go! It is a blessing and scripture (Paul) says to do so. Jesus was around people all the time and had close relationships based in his love, and we are to do that also to be like him.

Look at these two sentences:
" I believe I am surrounded by angels & demons and every day these spirits fight around us."
"I am a realist."
Now, tell me what they have in common. The answer is: NOTHING! Would a realist believe in angels and demons fighting invisible battles in the air? Why not leprechauns, fairies, elves, brownies, monsters in the closet?

Well, having been someone who used to believe similar things, I'd have to say that in my own experience, I used to be much more stressed about life. Take that for what you will, but putting yourself in a worldview where you are constantly at war with both yourself and unseen cosmic forces is one sure way to never find lasting peace, which I assume is something you're looking for in a religion. I don't really have anywhere else to go with this, other than to say that the path you're on (IMHO) leads to fear, disillusionment, and undue stress.

with faith and Patience with the lord all questions will be answered, but then again faith without works is nothing so you must do the works of the lord to have mercy, do good, remember you reap what you sew! You sew hate and contempt this is what you get in return. You sew unforgiveness in your life this is what you get. God rewards as you do. So the best advice is to do good. God forgives our miscommings if we forgive others miscommings. And denominations well just open you mind you will see they are the wolfs!!!

I agree with you on everything except being a realist. You're a christian not a realist. Thanks Martin S. for having those scripture verses handy. And I have Romans 5: 1-5 for learning lessons through trials and tribulation. "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character hope.
And hope does disappoint not us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us." AMEN?

well...im a person who has sixth sense n can contact angels..so regerding your qestion...i'd say yes,you are sourrounded by angels...good and bad...the demons ur saying are the dark angels..no matter how many agels might leave you one day there alwys be 1 with you to protect you and save you from crisis.Do you sometimes hear a voice within you when you make decisions and stuff?That's your angel tell you to do what's right and what's wrong.

I believe you should get yourself fitted for a straight-jacket. Get it in a color and print that you like with designer logos, otherwise the standard issue is plain white.
