Yes, you have strong potential. Now you must remain committed to develop your talent fully. Remember that the PGA is not a "go out and play golf" career. It is practice, practice, practice forever.
You also need to recognize that getting to the Tour is very difficult. The competition is extremely fierce. There are thousands of people that can shoot scratch golf, and hundreds of them are competing to get a spot on the Tour.
Golf is a "pay for performance" career. The only way to make money and move up the PGA is to beat everybody else. You must be an amateur Champion or the top player in one of the smaller tours before you can qualify to try for the PGA Tour. It's win or starve.
That makes it a high pressure game. You must develop your game to be able to shoot under par regularly, then develop your mind to be able to do it under the pressure of tournament conditions.
There are hundreds of guys that spend years trying to win on the smaller tours, but never make it.
Follow your dreams! But keep in mind that it is a long shot that you will get to the PGA Tour. Have a backup plan for your life's work.
Try to get good enough in high school that your can get a golf scholarship to college. Then finish your degree so that you have a backup for your career in case the PGA doesn't work out.
Good Luck

Challenge yourself- play tough courses - get into as many competetive events as you can - get a good teacher to finish the job. Take your best shot at it. Get some exposure - sponsors are important when the time comes to tour. You will need to throw serious money at the effort when it is time to join up.

Yes you do. I'm 14 years old also, but my game isn't so balanced. I have trouble putting on slow greens, but i absolutely crush the ball off of the tee. My average drive is 275, and my record drive is 297. I wish my handicap was as low as yours!!

not any time soon buddy. before you can think about playing with tiger and phil you have to get your handicap down to like one or two(cant remember the exact amount). you have to get it down low so that you can get out of the amature status and be called a pro(i.e. course pros...) if you are 14 and can boom it like that, and have a 12 handicap, thats pretty damn good. stick with it and improve, you are no where need playing at winged foot yet, sorry bud. but youve got something goin for you! good luck!!!

i am 14 and my handicap is a 3 but i think i might have a shot, the main thing is too think more about practicing on the range than just playing all the time. you get better on the course too, but your main imporvement comes fomr hours on the range
