There is a product called "swimmer's ear" available at most pharmacies. Also try an antihistamine/decongestant combination like Dimetapp tablets (brompheniramine/pseudoephedrine) this will help open the eustachian tube and increase drainage of the middle ear. If these products aren't available in your area ask the Pharmacist for a recommendation....Please no Q-tips because the water is Behind your eardrum!

You can try some peroxide apply 8 drops to each ear. Lay on your side for about 3 minutes allowing the peroxide to bubble. Then rotate sides and do the other ear. This allows the water to come out plus if you have any built up ear wax it will help remove it too. Do not use Q- tips. Good luck.

That happens to me , too. I will usually lie down on my side - the side that has the water in the ear. Sometimes it will drain right away so you might want to place a towel under your ear. Other times, I just have to ignore it and it eventually will go away. I have tilted my head the smacked the other side to jolt it out and it actually works but it hurts and can give you a headache. There are over the counter meds/drops you can buy - they are something like "dry ear" or "swimmer's ear drops." Your pharmacy can direct you if you tell them your problem.

Tilt your head to the side. I'm not saying this could happen to you but when I was little I got water in my ears just from my mom washing my hair and because of the excessive moisture I had still in my ears, I ended with an ear fungus that lasted for 3 weeks. Those were the worst weeks of my life, I felt like I was gonna die. But the antibiotics I took cleared it up quite well.

Rubbing Alcohol, that's in your medicine cabinet.
Pour a capful
Lean the head to the side
Pour the alcohol in
Turn head to the other side to drain
The alcohol will pull the water out when you turn your head, and if any remains, it will evaporate.

they have swimmers' ear medication at any drug store that should help. It's just basically rubbing alcohol and the idea is to dry the ear canal out.

Shake your head sideways, or you can put one or two more drops in it, then after you feel like the water drops meet, pour it out by tilting your head. Guaranteed to work.
