One of my neighbors moved and left all of their cats there. They have been gone for about 2 or 3 weeks and the cats have started wandering to my house. They are all starving and really skinny. Only about 8 of them come to my house, but there are about 11 still there starving. I can't afford to feed them or to take them to a shelter, but I don't want them to starve to death. Some of them are so scared that they won't let you touch them. I know they did'nt used to be wild so I think they are scared and confused. I need some help... any advice???

I live in Missouri... any Shelter Pals where you live? If not call the Humane Society. The people that left are probably criminally liable for those cats. Don't feel guilty for turning them in, they left them there. They're not your responsibility. Give help to those you can, and don't let up on the phones until you get someone out there. If all else fails, write a letter to the editor in the local paper stating how ineffectual the authorities were. Good luck!
