You are not at risk of dying, unless you are a child. However, it will start to hurt soon, you may vomit, your vision may become blurred, you might have a seizure, and you will likely feel very weak. Also, (for obvious reasons) you will get tired.

I would suggest that you induce vomiting as soon as possible to get those pills out of your stomach before they enter your bloodstream by slowly swallowing a mixture of mustard and warm water, or Ipecac if you have any. If worse comes to worse, stick your finger down your throat. Either way, it's healthier to have those pills come out your mouth than to be absorbed into your blood.

You should also talk to a psychiatrist about why you felt it necessary to ingest that many sleeping pills.

If it starts to hurt a lot, call an ambulance. You shouldn't drive, since you could fall asleep VERY easily. I don't know how much you weigh, so I can't say how many problems those pills will cause you.

It depends on the pill, if it's over the counter you're probably OK. Many over the counter sleeping pills take more than the amount available in the package to harm you. Nonetheless, you don't need to be taking that many pills, it can be dangerous. If you really feel uneasy about taking that many, call an ambulance or have someone take you to the hospital.

Probably not. Most sleeping pills, even prescription ones, are bottled such that even if you take the whole bottle, it's not likely to kill you. But it can make you very sick, and it can make you sleep so hard that someone in your family calls an ambulance and they pump out your stomach and make a big deal, and probably insist you stay 48 to 72 hours and see a shrink.

Is that why you took them?

Look on the pills container.. but its not a good thing. You might need to have someone come stay with you just incase you pass out.
