I'm building an affiliate site and need some feedback.
I'm using yahoo sitebuilder and have been working on it for about a week now in my spare time. How does it look so far? I know I need more content, any suggestions? I know there are a lot of sites like this out there. Anyone have one thats been working good for them? This started as just a hobby, a way for me to refer my friends to places I already play, but once I joined the affiliates I realized that where I play is just the tip of the iceberg to all that is out there. Any comments, suggestions or even criticisms welcome.

Yes, affiliate programs do work! If you are just getting started, I have written an article that you many find helpful. The title is "Seven Tips for Choosing an Online Gaming Affiliate Program" and here is the link.

You will have to work really hard to get to a point to where you can bring in over one thousand u.s. dollars a month. To even get to that point working alone will probably take you over a years time with all the tough competition you are facing.

If you spend 3 or 4 hours a day working on your site, researching, studying, and learning your business then it can eventually evolve into a decent income for you.

If you only work on your site here and there whenever you feel like it, don't expect any major income. It requires a serious effort to ever earn substantial income in this business.

To tell you exactly what it is you need to do to make serious money in this business would take hundreds of pages. The best I can tell you in short is to get out there and work hard. By work hard I mean learn better site building techniques and strategies, learn what it is that will attract visitors and keep them coming, add new content daily, and continue learning all the ins and outs of your this business.

Sorry that is HORRIBLE. NEVER put music like that on your site and don't use ugly backgrounds like that. Don't put a counter on that is so 1996! Don't use that font, it is too hard to read. Test your site on 800x600 and you'll see it doesn't work. Your Java applet doesn't work correctly. Don't use mailto.

Apart from all the glaring problems. There is no useful content to the site. It is just a bunch of ads on an ugly home page. Write some articles, put in some content, review the sites you are offering.

I'm not saying mine is perfect, but here's the one I wrote (see link).

Yes they do work, in answer to your question. I make about goo money off mine, and I've not had time to update it properly for a long time.

Hello,
If you have been considering an affiliate marketing venture, there are some very good reasons why you should go with this method of generating recurring revenues. The first one is the you do not need a product to make money. You simply have to promote other people?s products which are already on sale. Meaning to say, you do not have to invest money anymore in the design and production of your products. You do not even need a place to stock them, and you do not have to manage invoicing, delivery, refunds or customer service.

A good reference book you can download for free with a step by step method can be downloaded here: http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=559
Cheers ;)
