working out is great, but the things you eat will contribute to alot to your body's relation. Try having not more than 2 bananas a day after your workout and eating 2 kiwi fruits 1 hour before bed time.
Keep doing this for a period of 2 weeks and you can see a remarkable result with your body and your life :p

Coffee actually dehydrates you and after sweating and becoming more depleted after exercise, you will really be dehydrated. You should exercise on an empty belly, drink lots of water during and after, and do it first thing in the morning. Then make sure you refuel with a large, healthy breakfast and you should be good to go.

Try power napping for 15-20 minutes after a workout. This will give your body the rest it needs without keeping you wired at night. If you spend more than 25 minutes, you may be sorry that night. Oranges are very good at getting you back "up to speed" after a work out. Also try gatorade or powerade to give you your electrolytes back.

I hope someone has an answer for this too because I always seem to YAWN when I work out! I always have. (I'm 40 now) and no one has seemed to be able to answer my question. Why do I yawn so much during exercise!?
Do you eat a high carb snack for energy to work out? It might be a blood sugar drop after your workout? I don't know.
I know this isn't much of an answer...sorry.

Usually I only get too sleepy when I'm full from eating. After working out, my blood is pumped up so I'll be awake.

you shouldn't get sleepy at all after working out. You must be overdoing it. Exercise should release endorphines which are supposed to make your body have MORE energy. See your doctor, or try to cut back a little. hope this helps!

No. I don't get sleepy after my workout. I feel very much active. Take some multi-vitamins and ascorbic acid before you workout. It will replace all the vitamins that you will burn. Workout burns your creatinine, zinc and vitamin C. That's why you feel sleepy..
