if you didn't have a hobby and did nothing instead, wouldn't that be a waste of time too?
i think hobbies are a great way to spend time, not waste it.

Hobbies do not waste our time .They are the means of recreation.Hobby actually mean the activities that you are willing to perform or you have interest in that activity.Performance of your hobby gives you lots of satisfaction.It also encourages you to perform well in that Field.It is also a part of ones personality development.It differs an individual's choice from others.If a person is regularly doing well in his hobby means that he is utilising his time for his personality development.
Acquiring high position on the bases of bookish Knowledge does not make a complete man,personality also plays an important role in ones life.

I don't think hobbies is a waste of time. But rather it is the most quality time you ever did. Because hobbies are something you love to do that you enjoy and and gave yourself a reward to be relax.
