Apparently, Ebay is an answer given when you are a moron and havne't done any research.
Ebay has listing fees, advertising fees, selling fees and much more. Plus, there are thousands of other people selling the same thing, for probably cheaper than what you are selling it.
Some online sites that will sell stock photos are:

You can also try to sell your work locally. A lot of locations (especially rural areas) have local craft shows and craft fairs. You can look into that. Get a booth there and sell your work. Sometimes local artists can get into smaller art galleries. An odd place to check is the local library. Our library (along with other ones I've been to) hang images from local artists along with a price tag and a phone number for a potential buyer to call.
Creating your own online art gallery is an option - though not the most feasable at this point as there is time and money into that, which you may not have a whole lot of either at this point if you are just starting out.
Also, offer free prints to friends and relatives to hang in their home. So if someone asks them about the image, they can refer them to you.

You can start your own online gallery. I have an account thru printroom, and I have been very happy with them. you can sell prints, greeting cards, digital images, t-shirts, mousepads, etc....
the website is www.printroom.com
shutterfly has a pro gallery also," I personaly don't like shutterfly, because they do not offer other item's and digital downloads(or at least they did not when I had my account"(but, that is just my opinion)
I am shure that thier are other sites like this also. It will cost between $99-$300 to open your gallery then it's is up to you to promote it.

Unless you are willing to pay the listing fees of ebays, then an alternative solution is to try other like Yahoo Auction amngst others.
However, I think the best is that you set up your own e commerce site at a cost, and have your photo album there for people to view, pay and download.
