I met this guy two years ago, and we exchanged phone numbers and etc. when I called him, we talked for hours. Ever since then, we've really hit it off, but simply as friends. Well, lately I've been getting hints that he may like me. We pass a notebook back and forth, where we write things to each other, and lately hes been writing things about love in it. But he says hes not in love with anyone. He also writes in his own journal, and he let me read it. It had a lot of stuff saying he was in love with a girl, but he didnt say who. I have no idea if he really likes me or if i'm reading too much into all of this. But the problem is, I've developed feelings for him. I want to tell him, but I dont want to ruin our 2 year old, extremely strong friendship. What do I do?

I think lovers should always be friends first. Present the scenario to him in a hypothetical manner. If he takes the bait run with it. I've had similar occurrences, with two different outcomes. One was positive and the other not so positive.

if he is a good friend he will understand your feelings and if you are the one he has been writing about he will tell you if you tell him... the thing is dont wait too long to tell him cuz if you do wait too long and find out he doesnt then you will have just gave yourself time to grow fonder and fonder of him... making it really hurt in the end... but from what i have read i really think he does like you... if he let u read his stuff he would have asked your opinion on what she would think if it was another chick he wrote about... I think he wanted to see your expression though and let you know how he felt without actually having to speak.

Tell him you have feelings for him. But also tell him that you don't want to make it awkward or anything. From what you've said I completely see how you think he's into you, and you never know if he is--until you ask! And if he says he's not, don't act disappointed. And if you're too scared to come out and say, "hey, is that girl me?" Then give him hints that there may be something that you're feeling for him. <3.

I believe it is a time that you fully utilise the note book. Ask him who the gal he love is. Also put hint that you are in love with a man who does know you love him and wonder what he would say when you tell him.

just ask him who it is
...or you can be totaly open and tell him the truth...that you think he likes you
he can't get mad or upset if you just ask
you have the right to be wondering about it cuz he's putting it in your face that he likes someone..
