I loved our Cruiser, it was fun to drive and fairly comfortable for me but I am 6-4. I can't stand it when people say that it's a glorified Neon. That is like saying a Mustang was a glorified Falcon or someting. It's not a neon, its built on a noen platform just like every other car manufacturer has done in the past and still does. We needed a bigger car that is why we got rid of it, I want another one only next one will be a turbo. Compared to the HHR there is not alot of difference in hp. The Cruiser has like 1 cubic foot of storage space more than the HHR. Personally I like the looks of the PT better. We have no complaints about the car and would buy another one.

I read in a now forgotten source that the PT Cruiser has a more
solid fit and finish than the HHR does. The latter is new to the
game, and PT Cruiser is more like the experienced pro, according to what I read. I personally like the milk truck design
of the HHR. I test drove the 2.2 liter, though. It did not have much power. But it also comes equipped with a 2.4 liter, which
I think would be a must for a car that size. Also something you might consider is the Cobalt. I have a Cobalt coupe, and love it.

I rented a PT Cruiser (PTC) for 2 weeks, drove from Tuscon AZ to Tombstone AZ and back, then to Scottsdale AZ and thru the desert, 750 miles on 10 days. The PTC is a blast, comfortable and while I like a little more power than a 4 cyl gas (as in a diesel like my Jeep Liberty) I wished I had it for the remainder of my trip over the Sebring convertible. Fuel mileage was good, comfort great, superb sound system (for OEM) and plenty of room (6'2" and 250 lb football sized guy).

I could have had the HHR or Trailblazer but the PTC looked "cooler".

It is funny, but the cars were designed by the same person, first in Chrysler and then in Chevrolet.
I like both, but I like the PT most because I can get it with manual transmission. I am looking for one.
All the owners of PT cruisers are very happy with them. I don't know any owmer of a HHR.

well if you want a neon go ahead and get the PT Cruiser. That is vertually what you would be buying only with a different body. The HHR looks so much better and it isn't a glorified neon.

Dude, the PT cruiser is basically a Neon.

And the HHR is not much better.

Gonna have to recommend you go foreign on this one.

No, the PT Cruiser gets better miles to the gallon, and they ride better, and they look better too, especially the new convertibles.

Both are lame. Get a car that is actually fun to drive... even something practical and fairly cheap like a matrix or a civic. Hey they much better than either will ever be.
