Top part of question. you are always on the alert for anything that may pose a threat to you. so any unexpected noise will trigger you fight or flight reflexes not to the possibility of ghosts just physical danger in general. The ghost part may come as a joke after wards as the source of the noise that scared you.
the second part is yes ghosts do exist just as your soul does and God. Most Ghosts either have a message to pass on before they can leave this world completely . The only ones that can do any type of harm are those that cannot leave until they can confront the people or person that harmed them when they were alive. and there is only so much that they can do.such as frighten the object of their demise into confessing or leading them to their own doom through the persons fear of the ghost.

I have had enough experiences with ghosts, to know that I am uncomfortable with them. I do not know what they want from me,and I guess that's why I am afraid. What do I possess that they wish to have? I just get creeped out by them. And yes, some are terrifying. Maybe, at the impressionable age of 5, I was too young to be exposed to their hauntings. Every home I've lived in since that time, has been haunted at some level. But ghosts are not all I have experienced.
Deja vu, astral transport, esp, healing.
My sister who is now deceased knew how she would die. She wrote a poem, which was published, a full 10 years before her untimely death. I saw it, in a dream the day before she died. Some of the details were incorrect, but she never came home, alive. I warned her, but she paid no heed. I feel her presence, sometimes, and I can still smell her perfume. I miss her so very much.
Okay. My electricity just went out, but came back on. Had to reconnect. Kind of have that creepy feeling right now. Gonna quit answering ghost questions.
Anyway, why would ghosts be afraid of us humans? They are dead, they have nothing left to fear. We humans on the other hand still possess our souls, our lives, and we stand to lose everything that we hold dear.
Added July26-I have a book I've been reading. I read it after leaving here. The book is now missing. I have looked everywhere and I cannot find it. I even looked all over in my car. It's not anywhere. Whatever shut off the electric last night, must have taken the book.

"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord".... That is how quickly we are ushered from this life in the tangible physical realm where our spirit-man is fleshbound, into the presence of a loving but just God, where our spirit-man, the true person we are, will stand before God someday and find out that what decision we make concerning Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior determines where we will spend eternity. The spirits of humans do not therefore wander aimlessly around the world.....HOWEVER what is very real and I believe is the answer to your question is that demonic spirits are loose in this world and seek to do nothing else than to " ... steal, kill and destroy"
Satan is not omniscient...(all-knowing) like God is.... but He is intelligent and crafty and always able to watch and devise attacks against people through demonic oppression and torment. Demonic spirits will often appear as a deceased loved one, but the aim is never to do good..... the devil wants people to doubt the existence of God..... as long as you doubt that God and heaven is real, you'll never accept Jesus Christ as the way to get there.

I believe in ghosts, and I don't think about them everytime I hear a noise.
Sometimes, you can feel when you are in the presence of something supernatural. If you have never experienced it before, it is difficult to explain.
Also, ghosts do NOT scare me... evil spirits, poltergeists, and such do scare me. When something like that is around... it is the ugliest feeling ever! You feel scared obviously... and kind of like the happiness is being drained out of you. It's really weird!

I think it's because human's know they can't hurt the ghost, it's already dead. But we don't know whether or not they can hurt us. And I think that ghosts probably aren't scared of human because either they can't interact with humans and ignore them or they know they are dead and have no abilities in this world.

I htink ghosts are more afraid of us then we are of them. Some try and scare us, but the fact is, we are the owners of this earth, and we have authority over the ghosts, because of Jesus. so just take your authority and tell them to get out

It would be more desirable to destroy all cheap literature which breeds superstition. It is not only practising superstition but also listening to superstitious thoughts which affects one's success in life. Supersttious statements sticks to one's thoughts and actions even without permission of one's belief. Ghost is a superstitious thought.

First, no such thing as ghosts. However, angels and demons are real, and spiritual warfare is a constant unseen battle. The rest is just your imagination.
No, I'm not on drugs.
