I think we need to kill the Al- Queada leaders one by one where ever they may be and using whatever means we see fit, and by any means, I don't mean destroying a whole country to get one guy. If we need one guy or ten guys, we put people into that country that can get those guys. We either do it with the knowledge and consent of that country or without it, as long as we get those guys. I also do not think it is wise to start a fight with every terrorist organisation that exists, If they want a fight, by all means we will fight them, but considering how tough it is to fight terrorism, especially on your home territory, I would not try to pick fights with organisations. As long as they do not attack us and do not give our enemies shelter, or attack our allies, let them go blow someone else up or themselves, who the hell cares. We also must decrease the dependency on foreign energy and decrease dependency on oil period, it does'nt make sense to say we want terrorism to end, and then pretty much fund half of their activities. We need to stop countries like Pakistan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, from giving material support to terrorists and supporting the teaching of hatred of other religions. We have to set up dialogue between us and the Muslim religious leaders and truly listen to their side of the story. Just listening makes a huge difference, I am not condoning we change our national language some Arab dialect or start praying to Allah, but I do condone our leaders actually treat these people who call for attacks on our homeland as heads of state and try to negotiate a peace of some sort. If we cannot negotiate a peace, we can always resort to annhilating them, but negotiation is a lot cheaper. Although, if American blood is on your hands, you must die, bottom line. We must try to push for reform in Islamic states towards more liberal and modern day governments and this must be accomplished through covert action or geopolitical positive reinforcement such as lifting of sanctions or increase of aid. Since terrorist organisations do not have a particular central base or infrastructure in the traditional sense, traditional warfare does not work, this appears to be evident. If we systematically destroy terrorist leadership, end their financial support, and most important of all, we must win the people's hearts so they do not view us as the bad guys and automatically give support to terrorists. It is by no means a short and easy task, but it is possible if done right, and counterproductive steps are not taken.

The U.S., like any other nation, should do what's in its best national interest.

In this case, that's to defend democracy in the region and to promote it. Only those who forget the importance of 9/11 will have a hard time seeing the reason why our presence there must remain strong. Regardless if you were "for" or "against" Iraq, you have to switch your focus to what we do from here.

In Iraq, we continue to work closely with the newly formed government monitoring conditions on the ground adjusting troop levels as necessary. Eventually, the Iraqis will have all the equipment and logistical support of their own in place to be in complete control. Only then should we consider pulling our troops out of that region.

We don't want to force our presence anywhere else in the Middle East for the reasons you stated in your question, unless there is a higher calling where countries are attacked in the region as a result of oppression. We should stay on the moral highground that it is not our role to force democracy or our ideals on other nations in the region. Iraq was a unique situation that had many other reasons attached. We will not repeat that unless faced with similar circumstances.

We need to just stay the course right now.

Keep the troops in Iraq and set up intel ops there.

Establish intel ops on each border and set up bases where we can take off and land.

Stay out of the Israel-Lebanon situation for now.

Nothing we do is going to stop the chaos there.

Find an alternative fuel and leave them with their oil.

Keep an eye on the nutjob in Iran and the Weasel from Syria.

For now, thats what we should be doing.

In my experience, peoples of alternative international locations are actually not as obsessed approximately funds as human beings could properly be, yet, I do think of there is resentment between the human beings of the mid-east in the direction of human beings, and extra usually, the west. component to this resentment stems from Israel, yet, additionally, the middle eastern international locations had a proud history, they have been the pinnacle of enlightenment till the fifteenth century or so. They have been leaders in philosophy, the humanities, the sciences, and in commerce for 1000 years or extra. The west then grew to alter into the main effectual in those cultural aspects on a similar time as middle eastern international locations too a decrease back seat. Militarily, the seventeenth century spelled the doom of the mid east. Now, they call for recognition in line with delight, and, have wrapped this racial delight around faith, and, properly, we are at odds. God help us all...

Well I think that the US should not send troups to any other country. Be it in midle east or africa or on southpole, or any where else....
The muslims are doing these kind of things because they are frustrated of US poking nose in elses matters...
Let them stay how they are..
Let them kill themselves..
They will themselves come on right path when they will see they are not going to survive like this.!
Why is US spending money on them..
If US is planning to send her troups there may be the World War III starts...

What would i do? I would leave the people in the middle east compleatly alone. Let them figure out things, let them kill each other, sort out their problems and when they are ready to act normal, they can come back and join the rest of the world.

Oh good god... please don't give the US any more jurisdiction on territory.... and in any case, why would they want it, no real natural resources, water, oil, gas etc....

I do have a better idea, gather up all of the Israeli's, put them on big planes and fly them to the US and allow them to settle there. Then we return the land back to the Palestinian people and let them get on with it.

I think the us should be more like canada and mind their own business. People here have to live in fear of something like 9/11 happening again(and it will) while canadians can relax and enjoy life more than we can.

All I really know about anything is that people do not want war. Governments, who send other PEOPLES CHILDREN to war, don't mind WAR.
