I started going out with this guy when we were both 17 and in our junior year. We've been together for 5 years and married for 1 of those. We're due to have our first baby any day. So, I'd say yes. It just takes a lot of patience and understanding because you are so young. Being young means that you may not have had a lot of "experiences" with other people. It's good because you can experiment with each other and be completely comfortable knowing that he's not gonna make fun of you to all his friends. Just don't worry about not messin' around with other people. To have one person who loves you unconditionally is the best feeling in the world. Good luck.

Some do. Like 8% or something like that. People are still growing and making who they are so they don't always stay compatible with eachother. However, some make it through. My cousin married his girlfriend from junior (she a frosh) year in highschool and went out for 11 years or something like that. And my other cousin has been with his girlfriend for about 8-10 years and are about to tie the knot. maybe. ~

Let's see, according to me i graduated in 1992, mine didn't last but for 8 years. Others that i graduated with though have been married since thier sophmore or senior year and are still together!

It's what you make of the relationship that works!

Sure, there are many high school sweethearts that marry. My daughter started dating a boy when she was in 9th grade and he was in 11th. They would have fights, she'd get mad and break up with him, date other guys and then get back together with him. They were apart for a year when he went away to automotive college in another state. As soon as she graduated from high school, she moved to where he was and when he finished automotive college, they moved back and got married. They will celebrate their 4th anniversary next month.

Most likely no. I know some people who met their spouses in high school when they were teens though, but it's a small chance that it usually happens.
