I sounds to me like you have some gum pockets, maybe even some beginning stages of periodontal disease. It is very good that you are flossing but I think you need to see your dentist as well as see your hygienist and have a good cleaning and check up. Periodontal disease only gets worse and can eventually lead to losing teeth. i knew a lady once who had perio disease and when she sneezed her tooth fell out. Do you want that? Didn't think so. The longer you wait the worse it gets not only in your mouth but also in you wallet

while i understand that the dentist is unpleasent, so is tooth decay and rot. Which is what you have. If the infection gets into your bloodstream, you can get endocarditis, a heart condition that ruins your heart valves, and you will either be dead, or need a heart transplant. Trust me, I have cared for a boy of 18 that had that happen, he eventually rejected his heart and died. Not fun. When you can easily go to the dentist. If your super afraid, get a prescription for something like ativan or xanax to take before you go, or, (not recommended, but it does help some ) smoke a joint. Should help you relax.

It means that that food is stuck in there and is causing bacteria to form since it is not being cleaned out. The pain means that the food is eating away at the tooth and is causing a cavity, which is affecting the root and nerve. I have the same problem with my wisdom teeth with food getting caught in the back.

9 times out of 10, a bad smell means infection. You should see a dentist ASAP. You don't want anymore serious problems.

its either you have decayed tooth or a gum disease.if it's decayed, see a dentist to get it filled.other signs of gum disease are gum bleeding during brushing and mobile tooth(loose).if you have these signs, see a dental hygienist for a good cleaning,or you can try Corsodyl Mouthwash or any mouthwash that contains Chlorhexidine in it.it works on mild gum disease.

probably an infection. see a dentist cuz it will only get worse. maybe you could see a dentist who uses sedation. there are many dentists who specialize in patients who are afraid of going to the dentist.
