Yes, that's terrible for your liver. You should only take pain killers when you really NEED them. Just because you have a headache doesn't mean you need them. If it's bearable, do without the tylenol. Or if it's bad but not as bad as it normally is, take regular strength rather than extra strength.

You might want to talk to your doctor. He might be able to prescribe something that's specifically for headaches and would be easier on your liver.

You also shouldn't take tylenol more than absolutely neccessary because your body will build up an immunity to it and it will no longer be effective. That means you'll need to take higher doses for it to work, and that will damage your liver even more.

Please cut back on the tylenol. You also shouldn't take it for more than 10 days consecutively. Talk to your doctor. If you can't get to a doctor any time soon, try to alternate between tylenol, ibuprofin, asprin, and other painkillers. You shouldn't take the same one all the time. Try to find medicines specifically for migraines or headaches rather than general painkillers for any kind of pain. It even says right on the label for "temporary" relief from pain. NOT an everytime cure-all for the aches.

Read the guidelines leaflet, and if you're nonetheless uncertain talk on your pharmacist. I are living within the UK and wouldn't have tylenol, however realize that we will take paracetamol centered medications. I had lemsip the opposite week whilst I had a bloodless. Just preclude whatever that has prime caffeine stages or that's meant to make you drowsy (within the UK now we have a remedy referred to as night time nurse that's a bloodless comfort that makes you sleep I realize I are not able to take this).

Yes it is bad for your liver. At one time taking tylenol and alcohol was the sucide method of choice. Try something else in the asprin/ibuprophen family.
