It could be her way of letting you know that's she's okay and no longer in pain.

I can think of three general things:
Our subconscious will sometimes use strong symbols or icons to express emotions that may not necessarily have anything to do with the symbol/icon itself. Your mind may be trying to tell you that you are being deceived or that life is passing you by somehow and it is using the icon of your mother to express the gravity of the situation.
This could represent generalized anger at your mom for leaving you - she was a trickster, not a good person - the situation in the dream allows you to feel anger that you might otherwise feel is improper.
Things could be more literal - if she downplayed her condition before death, this may simply be a natural response of feeling resentful about being misled - even if it was something she meant to be kind.
Sometimes dreams are just a "garbage dump" of random things that occurred or that we thought about during the day. Sometimes, though, our mind is actually trying to bring our attention to something we have been blocking from our consciousness. When you have a strong response to a dream, a recurring dream or a recurring theme in your dreams, it is probably the latter. The difficult thing is figuring out what they mean for you....
Hope you have happier dreams tonight!

I'm only guessing here but maybe you wish it was only a bad trick she played on you. That would be easier to handle than facing her death or maybe your angry because she's gone? I think dreams sometimes are a manisfestation of feelings we don't want to deal with. My dad died 6 years ago too. I don't dream about him very often but when I do he's always alive and doing things with me. Laughing ,joking getting ready for a trip, etc. We didn't have a very good relationship until just before he died. I needed more time with him and I got to the hospital too late when he passed. When things like this bother me I just pray for an answer and God reveals it to me sooner or later. God Bless You. I hope you can find some peace in this situation. There's no hurt in the world like losing a parent.

No book that claims to interpret dreams can do cos you always have personal associations with various things.....
To me, this sounds like a very understandable case of missing her very much - maybe even to the point of anger cos she left you?
In as much as I would care to interpret a dream, I guess you just really miss her - after all, nobody can replace her... I do hope you have managed to properly grieve for her and I also hope you can start to live your life glad in the knowledge that she used to be there but facing the fact that she no longer is
Mothers are special - she will always be a part of you

Dreaming of someone who already passed away could mean two things.
1. You missed that someone very much. and you still can't get over the idea that she is not around.
2. There are some unsolved issues or words you have not told to your mother. You want to finish in dreams Subconsciously you want to resolve the unfinished business and talked to her

Sounds to me like you are not a very happy person and you trying to reach back to a time when you actually feel you were happier. That time was when your mother was still here with you.
Being tricked as it were is only a fantasy designed to create a way for the impossible to happen within your dreamworld.

Maybe your going through trying times now and she's telling you she is still watching out for you as she has been, but possibly now you need some spiritual knowledge that she is sending you. Dreams can be powerful messangers.

You haven't had closure. Go get some old pictures and reminice of old times, go to a favorite spot you had with her or to your childhood neighborhood and recollect all the times you've had. Then just give it some time, healing from pain doesn't happen over night.

well, either, youre just missing her, or maybe she wants to communicate with or help you with something. when our loved ones pass over, i learned that it takes time for them to be able to communicate with us. my grandmother is always around me and the rest of the family. she can do things now, like she took my phone, moved my keys, made my light bulb go out. now these things can happen to anyone, but i was told by a medium that she did them and was laughing. i didnt even tell her that these things happened. but you can just probably concentrate on your mom, and talk out loud to her, or i would suggest call california pyschics, and talk to rachel. shes the real thing and i trust her. and its not like oh, let me see how much money i can get out of you, you prepay, and she makes sure that you found out everything you want to know in your time alloted. shes talked to my grandparents on both sides and relayed messages to me that they wanted me to tell my parents and one of my cousins. they have a website, but make sure you talk to rachel.
