Cut out any of the white starchy items. It is really difficult to do, but I have done the best when I am trying to lose by eliminating sugar and potatoes and white bread and potato chips. If you drink milk, try to cut back on the fat content. I went from 2% to 1% to skim, which cuts down on fat pretty quickly if you have several glasses of milk a day. Drink at least 6 glasses of water per day, if you don't like the taste of plain H2O, you can put lemon or lime slices in it, or add in one of the low-cal drink mixes such as Crystal Light. Stay away from soda, or cut back on it if you drink 2 or more per day, a lot of the flavorings and sweeteners in soda will actually work against your weight loss. If you exercise for one half hour 5 days per week now, build that up to forty-five minutes for the 5 days. I actually lost more by eliminating margarine completely and use olive oil a light land o lakes spread made with canola oil. Margarine has a lot of chemicals in it that makes some people retain the fat that is in it. Everyone is different, so you have to find things that work for you. There is a site called ediets.com and you can go on the Oprah.com site and find lots of diet tips and suggestions. Hope this helps, I ended up losing about 20 pounds in 6 months, which has stayed off. I have also lowered my blood pressure and my overall cholesterol and raised my good cholesterol with these simple changes. Best of luck to you. Have a good night!

I can completely understand, I was the same way until I changed how often I eat and what I eat. I now eat 5-6 times a day and I follow an Anti-Inflammatory diet (Dr.Leo Galland's The Fat Resisitance Diet). I've lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks without being hungry, working out any more, or anything else. I work physically all day in my Remodeling business in SW FL and I've tried all sorts of diets including the Hallejuia Diet all without this much success. I did the Hallejuia diet for 3-4 months and only lost 5 pounds. Also this diet works well for me because I don't have to have a hot, cooked lunch everyday because some job sites don't provide us with adequate facilities to eat that way. Eveything I've eaten so far has been wonderful. If you don't want to buy the book but have more questions just let me know.

It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way you have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.
Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Plus click on "Pure Water" to make sure the water you drink doesn't hurt you. Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.
