Illegal aliens willingly choose to become criminals the moment they illegally cross the US border. Why shoud they be treated as anything else. This is not a feel good issue. They do not deserve to be rewarded for their crime. Their activities here are a continuation of that crime and should be prosecuted under the RICCO statutes as an ongoing criminal enterprise. Children born in the USA to illegal aliens should not be granted automatic citizenship, they should be deported with their parents.
Illegal aliens are a burden on our infrastructure, schools, wellfare, hospitals, courts, prisons, and they are lowering our standard of living by working for low wages. They are hurting the USA in all aspects(except from a corrupt employer's view). Many or most drive without a license or insurance, cannot read the signs, and are poor drivers. They illegally enter this country without being properly immunized against disease. They steal Social Security #s and falsify other documents.... Americans would be thrown in JAIL if caught doing that. It should be no different for these criminals.
Face it, illegal aliens ARE CRIMINALS. They are BREAKING our LAWS.
Those who employ illegal aliens should receive a minimum of 5 years in prison, no less, along with a very hefty fine. Second offense should carry a 10-15 year sentence and forfieture of all profits derived from illegally employing illegal aliens.
First, close the border... it can be done... and, it can be done quickly.
Second, put out a notice:
Illegal aliens who come forward and willingly return to their country of origin will be allowed to keep a portion of their illegally obtained possessions. Those who do not will be deported, upon discovery of their status, with nothing more than their clothes. It might take years, but it can be done. They are as corrupt as those who hire them.
Their own countries will never change until they stay there and fight for a change there.

We did that in 1986 giving amnesty to all those who were already here. That did nothing to solve the problem, and things have only gotten worse since then.
You don't reward bad behavior. It's unethical and encourages more bad behavior. You should sit and think about that for a minute, then you might understand why some people are upset over it. It's not only about those that are already here, it's about those who will be here in the future. We need a solution to solve the bigger problem and see the bigger picture.
Taxes is a weak argument. Many are paid under the table. Thousands of social security numbers are stolen and illegally used, causing the real owner of the SSN to get flagged. Over $50 billion a year in U.S. taxpayer money goes to the problem of illegal Mexicans being in this country. They actually "hurt" taxes in that respect. About the only thing they pay without seeing a dime back is Social Security. But again, that's only from those who aren't being paid under the table.

The problem with offering instant citizenship to the illegals who are already here is it will cause an even bigger surge of illegals into the country to take advantage of the plan. There can be no citizenship without first having a secure border. Once that is in place, I favor the Bill passed by the Senate that offers a pathway to citizenship based on time working in this country, background checks, and employment opportunity, but even that plan can not be implemented without first securing the border.

There should be a CONDITIONAL amnesty offered.
They must learn basic English.
They must learn some American history and culture.
They must be financially dependent, i.e., either employed or have a financial sponsor.
They must swear their allegiance to America and be signed up for the draft. (Within the draft eligibility guidelines)
They will have a FELONY conviction on their records so they can never posses a gun or vote, even if they become citizens.
They must do this within a time frame, such as 1 year. If they don't, or at least show effort after the time frame, they will be deported.
This will only work if we protect our borders. If we keep allowing them in, it's just a waste of time!

Given the utter contempt the illegal mexicans have for the US, her laws and her people, I can't imagine why any American would want them.
Right now the deficit in government assistance per illegal household vs what they pay in taxes is around $2000, if they were legalized that would JUMP to an estimated deficit of $7000 per illegal household.

Obviously you shouldn't be here either since you don't appreciate a damn thing in AMERICA.
NOT LITTLE MEXICO little girl!
I say you better pray you are NEVER a victim of a crime because you would deserve it if no police showed up to help since there are apparently NO criminals in your fantasy land of a life!

OK, but what are we gonna do with the 20 million that replace them? Are we to legalize them too? I say end the cycle now and enforce the laws that are in place now to stop illegal immigration. Fine the companies hiring them and deport and fine the illegal.

No, we should quit rewarding people who come here illegally. Stop giving them free medical care, housing, tax-free jobs, welfare, food stamps, driver's licenses, and all other benefits of being a law-abiding American citizen. Make America such a hellhole for someone here illegally that they go back on their own.
