ask yourself this, if you knew you were going to die in a week would you spend that whole week worrying about death? or would you live as much life as you could? what about if it was in a year? would you waste that year with worry?
look back at how much time you have spent worrying about it already and for nothing, your still here. Don't waste another minute of your life doing that. Spend every minute living and experiencing life.
To answer your question, I am not scared of death but I do hope that my turn doesnt come before my kids are grown cuz im all they have

Death is merely an end to a means. It must occur, and it will occur. There is no use fearing death because then you never truly live. You can never know how it will happen or where it will come from. It doesn't matter if there is a God or not, it must occur eventually and what is on the other side makes no difference. Besides, would you truly want to live forever? You would never be able to truly have friends, family, or loved ones because you know what will happen to them and would have to suffer an infinite amount of suffering living through a million deaths. Be grateful that there is a time limit on presence here. It makes life all the sweeter knowing that it is fleeting.

I used to be terrified of death!!! I imagine you're a lot like I was at that age. Death to me was a huge bump in the road. Sometimes I'd be watching a movie and a character would die and I'd start thinking, "oh, man! I'm gonna die one day!" It was very chilling.
Anyhoot, the years went on and sometimes i would fear it , but most times i would forget it. Then I started noticing girls at around 15. Then that's all I began thinking about :)
I put death behind me in this way kiddo...billion and billions of people have come and gone before us. There's nothing to fear what so many have done before us. I have the knowledge that one day i will die, this is a fact I can't change. Since I can't change that fact I have accepted that one day I will catch up to all the people that I have loved and passed on. My grandpas, my uncles, my aunts, my cousin, and my friends. I look forward to facing the last challenge, because in the end that's all it is, a challenge to face the unknown.
Something else that might help is faith. In God if you'd like. Or faith that it's not going to be scary. Or faith in the fact that all those people before you will be waiting to play games all day long :) It wil help.

Fear of death is an anxiety disorder or an obsessive/compulsive disorder. Anxiety or OC disorders are caused by many things and your parents can take you to a child therapist to help you get over this. Fear of death is natural if you feel threatened in some way - after all your survival instinct is an essential drive. However when fear of death becomes a preoccupying obsessive thought then something needs to change. If you are constantly ruminating about death, or if the mere mention of the word 'death' makes you feel anxious then a natural concern has gone too far. An overriding fear of death stops you living your life properly. Obsessive fear of death may originate from witnessing the death of a loved one, or even being traumatized by something on TV!
Here's some sites about GAD, which is generalized anxiety disorder, and you can show these to your parents also. They should read them as a lot of parents don't know about anxiety disorders. They are real and people need therapy to feel better as they go about living their every day life.

Don't fear death. Doing so will over shadow the joys of life, as you are already finding out. At 13, you probably have a very long life ahead of you.If you do everything required to stay in good health, and you have good genes, then you can expect to live another 70 years or so. Many, many people live into their 100's!
That's an awfully long time to live in fear of something that won't happen for a lifetime. Put your fears to rest, and live your life to the fullest.

Why do you think of death now at teen age of your life? The world is so beautiful even if you take birth thousand times more would not suffice. Buddy, you have to bloom and to contribute your best to the world. Think of your education and career. Devote considerable time in reading, playing and scientific breathing which would help you in relieving you from the scares of death. Though death is inevitable, it is not so in your case now. Better consult a psyachologist. Good luck!

I used to be scared of death when I was your age, until I discovered that dying is something that is meant to happen, by worring about death you don't acomplish anthing, and by praying you only give yourself a false sense of security that it can cause you more trouble later. Just live and accept that death is something natural and even beautiful, and when the time comes you'll know that it's time to go.

Oh my gosh! Sweety. You are only 13 years old. The chances of your dying are very very low. I think there is something that is bothering you! Did you hear about someone your age dying? Did someone you knew become sick and they are going to die?
Please go back to your parents and tell them that you are very upset and that you would like to talk to them. If they will not talk to you, go to a trusted adult and talk to them.
There is something that is bothering you and you need to figure it out! You are not alone in being afraid of death, there are many adults that are afraid too. I personally am not afraid of death. I know that it is just one more step in life. I am a Christian and I believe that I will go to Heaven and be with God.
I suggest that along with talking to someone, you also think pleasant thoughts and think of happy things that have happened in you life for 30 minutes before you go to bed. Some people have a Jasmin scented potpourri in their room to help them sleep.
I will pray for you and wish you luck!
