I think it comes with the age. As we get older, our parents realize that they will soon lose us to collage or something and try to make the best of what time they have left. The only problem is that they treat us alot of the time like we are years younger then what we really are.

Or it could be us. I've read somewhere in class that a part of the teenagers brain isn't fully developed until your mid twenties. That parts controls your judgement, so maybe we are wrongfully judgeing our parents. Either way, I don't like it.

Have a nice day :-)

Make sure you keep a printed copy of this question and the date that you asked it in this forum. Pull it out and look at it in about 10 years just to see how you feel then. You will be amazed, I promise you. It is just the "generation gap," if you will. I was a teenager and a young person not too long ago, and I thought that my parents and the parents of my friends were some of the most stupid people on the Earth! It will all change as you get older and become a mature adult. It will even change more if you are lucky enough to marry and have children of your own in later life. You will be amazed how things change. Just remember that your parents are more likely than not to be constantly trying to make the best choices for you, even though you are unable to understand it or see it as stupid in the moment. Have a good night!

It is frustrating when you are young and come from an Asian family. I did not like their strict rules or their behavior. I just wanted to fit in with the other kids.

As I have gotten older I have learned to appreciate them. Now I even agree with them most of the time. My American husband loves my parents as his own. What I thought was strange he sees as integrity.

My mother also taught me how to treat a man. It seems old fashioned and I thought she should not have done so much for my father. Now see American women treating men so poorly, they think it is funny but they all get divorced. I have been with mine for almost 8 years and he would still do anything for me. So now I am glad I grew up the way I did.

I really consider you on each and every thing you suggested and it does make me experience dissatisfied because human beings in this technology aren't from now on like the human beings from the old cases. i experience like issues are transforming into undesirable and youthful toddlers have thoroughly replaced. It bothers me because i'm from this technology yet even as i changed into 11, 12, and 13 i changed into twiddling with my toys which include barbie dolls and convinced I had male acquaintances yet under no circumstances went any added than only acquaintances. Now at 22 i'm nonetheless a virgin and prepared for the right guy to come back alongside and positioned a hoop on my finger and that i'm satisfied that I waited and under no circumstances regretted it. So i'm no longer like the toddlers you defined as being slutty. issues have replaced and it is going to keep on getting worse than what it has ever been. unhappy however the certainty in our technology.

It's b/c of the generation gap & every generation experiences this. if you ever decide to have kids you will probably remember this question you are asking when your daughter or son thinks the same thing. Every generation has to deal w/ somethings the prior gen. didn't. they don't understand it easily, & that's where the frustration comes in. both the older & the younger generations have to be understanding as possible towards eachother. you will get thru it. we all do.

It sounds as if you are very young.Your parents make the decisions that they make for your well being. When you get older and more mature you will understand. They might not be in the same frame of mind that you are but they know right from wrong and that is what counts.maybe if you just try, things will come in perspective a little more.
