who says man is the only living thing that can reason? Whales, birds other animals all have their own form of communication. Just because we are unable to understand them, we say that they are unable to reason. This would be terrible reasoning on our part.

Moreover, try reasoning wtih Israel. That they are killing innocent people and achieving nothing by destroing others' lives. That this is slaughter. That God wouldnt want such a thing to occur on holy land.

Even if there is a god. There is no proof that god is jesus or buddha or any other god that is around. Perhaps the real God is every God. Or perhaps, there is no god. Perhaps this idea was conceptualised as an experiment and we are all being monitored by a Greater being..

so many possibilities so many things to think and argue about.

The fun of life

What evidence do you have that nothing can be or exist without first being an idea? What you're suggesting is ridiculous. Utlizing your logic, most of the universe just popped into existance within the last half millenium because no one had any idea that things like atoms or black holes existed, therefore not being an idea, they simply weren't there. Furthermore, human beings are not the only creatures that can reason. They're just the only ones who are stuipid enough to argue about their ideas, write them down, and then kill other people if they refuse to accept them. Even chickens have enough brain power to determine what's bad feed and what's good feed and the reasoning abilities to avoid the crap.

Why exactly must there be a reason for anything? Did it never occur to you that things are just because they are?

I believe there was something that caused everything to come into existence. And I believe it impossible to know exactly what that was and how it happened.

Which god do you want people to believe in? The Christian God? The Musilim God? The Hindu God? Zeus? The Sun God? The Moon God? Guitar Gods?

Side note. Some people apparently don't have the ability to reason

I believe in a power greater than myself, GOD.
However I do not believe that man is the only living thing that can reason, and that is because science, animals, have proven that they can change what they do by their choice to do so.
Did god tell you that man is the only one that can reason, or do you have proof.
I think man is the only animal out their that decided to try to save all life, and play around as if some of them are gods ( the whole copying cells, and so on)
I believe that there is a power greater than all of us and for the sake of dicussion : who on earth said that something had to be an idea of something for it to exist?

Yes, I absolutely believe in God. Imagine if your breath is taken away for a moment (not good) how nice it is when you receive a wonderful breeze, you can feel it but you can not see it, that is Gods doing. Have you ever wondered how a baby is formed, I mean , hey, lets get real.....Who can create an eye, fingers, a heart, a brain, MAN, there is a creator and that is God, he is the beginning and he is the End. PALEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES. Read the bible, get real......Genesis.... if you do not belive then wait till you die and your soul wakes up to a spiritual world, SURPRISE.....lOOK FOR HIM WHILE HE IS THERE , just an advise.

Without a doubt. There are those who say we came from the sea. If so, who made the sea? We did not come from nothing. I feel that we are all travelers, trying to get to the same place, taking different routes. Who's to say which is correct if we all get there in the end? Live and let live.

If NOTHING can be or exist without first being an idea or something, than who or what created God. If God does not need a creator, than neither does matter or humans or isotopes....

Okay, so try this on for size: If we are all created in the image and likeness of God, and God is THE creator, what does that make us? - Creators. Then we, too, have the power of creation. Does that mean we're all God? I would think so.

Like that one?

Yes I believe in God...

I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).

Cordially,
John

God always was and always is. The human mind cannot get the concept of no beginning and no ending. Think of a circle that has no beginning and no end.
