suicide is never right.I've helped many ppl with life threatening medical problem including my Dad. Each breath is precious. No one knows when their time on earth will come. Each of us have our days numbered. My Dad suffered with one problem for 19 years. On several occasions I helped him survive near death. Shortly before his death, he thanked me for helping him recovery. Because he lived he got to another grandson and a great-grandson born 2 months apart. A few days before he died, we went to a friend's party. He walked and felt better than he had in years. He got to see a lot of friends. When he died, he died in his sleep.
There have been others too. There is a better way!

I have also suffered from chronic pain.
My pain has probably been of a lesser degree than yours, but I do know what it feels like to have a sense that your life is passing you by, and you can't really enjoy living because you are in pain. I know what it feels like to wonder if it's really worthwhile to go on with life while burdened with pain that has no end in sight.
I have sometimes thought about giving up, but I haven't yet, and I hope you won't either.
Your pain is not who you are. There is still a person beyond the pain, a person of dignity and strength and courage.
Despite your pain, you are participating here in Yahoo Answers, so it seems there is still a spark of life in you. Cherish that spark. Hold on to the inspiration and power within you. Seek the support and comfort of family, friends, and clergy.
Think about the fact that you can turn on your computer, and find total strangers who care about you. . Your life is important, as is everybody's. Don't allow your pain to make you forget your inner spirit. You are a vital part of this world. I hope you can find a path beyond your suffering that allows you to endure, in comfort and peace.

Oh most definitely. Taking your life is NEVER the answer. There's always the next day, or the next week. Please talk to someone who specializes in your type of depression. You have to have faith that things will get better. Take each day one at a time and PLEASE, stop and think about your loved ones. Maybe your doctor knows of a pain center in your area. As bad as things might seem right now, they always get better. You can always treat whatever medical problems you have.
I work part time at a doctors office and a patient listed all of her medical problems and needed another sheet...she was only in her 30's and the list was endless...I'm talking a whole lined sheet of paper.....at the very end she wrote something to the effect of" I do not let these things spoil my spirit" I was so amazed that someone so young could have all these conditions and still have a healthy, joyful spirit. Please, please talk to a professional..maybe a member of the clergy too.
If you need a friend you can email me at bgjackie628@aol.com

I don't know about most people but I do know some would. I have spent endless time in counsling and group meetings and all and know it does happen. Twice I attempted it once at the age of 15. I know this is NOT the answer but i also know how painful life can be for some people. I hope You are not thinking of this?

With thoughts like these you need to consult a professional - many people can endure many things with the right inspiration and motivation - do not just talk to psychiatrists but faith healers, chiropractic, holistic, yoga, meditation just to name a few professionals to help you - pain is natures way of letting you know you are alive - do not let it control you you should in my opinion learn to control it
Hope this helps a little - good luck on whatever journey you choose FOR YOURSELF - T

I'm religous, so if you think your pain is bad now wait until you get to hell it's alot worse and its eternal, and if I remember correctly that's the sure way to a trip to hell. Can't you get any better meds? Halidol, morphine, anything?
I hope the best for you, and I'm truly sorry.

I certainly cannot judge. God does not want us to judge others. Only God knows your heart and your situation. I do not.
