I have, I was blonde for two years(dark brown naturally). It is hard to keep up with, just doing your roots is time consuming and expensive. It isn't something I'd do forever, just a bit of fun for awhile. Honestly, my hair has been tons of colors and blonde was one of the least fun, just because the upkeep was such a pain in the @ss. If you want to though, give it a shot. I'd recommend heavy highlights though, the whole head is REALLY noticible when you need a touchup.

P.S. Blondes do not have more fun. It's a rumor started by the hair bleach industry

If your really not sure about going blonde and all the maintance that comes with it, I would suggest doing highlights. with highlights you can go as light as you would like. Once you go blonde, your blonde, and you need to keep the roots covered or be uneven for a while and grown the blonde out. Highlights look more natural and are easier to maintain. Good Luck

see the thing is to go blonde u gonna have to bleach your hair, u might freak out by the color u see but after a couple weeks later it will be pretty, u can always go and get it professionally done jus to be on da safe side. It will look gorgeous with some brown streaks.

i'm going blonde ish soon, my hairs too dark itll take dying like 5 times to actually get blonde, but my mom doesnt agree either, juts explain to them how the dye works and its not permanent because your hair grows back in its natural color, its your hair and you should have the right to do what you want, and its really not that hard to maintain as long as you have enough money for dye

Start with lots of blonde highlights to see what it would look like. If the color looks good on you and you can deal with touch-ups all the time then go for it.

you know im not just answering this because of the comments people have made but sarcastic comments are of no need. like blonde jokes, i dont even remember the last time i heard a blonde joke. alright? both are cool... but i also think you should try some highlights.

I had very light brown/dark blonde hair, and went Marilyn Monroe blonde. It was crazy, but I kept it for years. I am now a medium blonde. It suits me because I have very fair skin and light eyebrows.

I have dark brown hair and I tried light brown streaks which look blonde under certain lighting and the sun. I think it also blends in more with the shade of my hair.

Do you really want to fall under the blonde joke category? what you should do is get highlights one or two shades lighter than your hair color. It will add dimention and give it a new look as well.

I've done it before & I regret it. One you're going to need to bleach your hair..bleach REALLY damages your hair & you're going to constantly have to redo the roots. Two, if you have natural red highlight to your hair(most brunettes do) you're going to end up with orangish hair...it's not pretty trust me. If your hair turs up orange you'll have to add a toner to balance the color. & once you decide to dye it back you need to be careful because your hair can turn green!! I'd say stick to adding blonde highlights to your brown hair, it looks better than all over blonde & easier to keep up with.
