Alright I know you said only girls but I can answer this in a heart beat. What he is doing is busting on you, it's something a lot of guys do to try to get a girl interested lol. It's funny and breaks the ice easily. Just small over-exaggerated claims such as this one go along ways. So simply put, yes he is interested in you and is trying to show you what kind of guy he can be. Relax and enjoy it :P have a little confidence in yourself.
