No I don't think there is much chance of a World War at present. There are very few unified blocks of power that could challange NATO at present. The old eastern alliences have crumbled and China is too busy with thier own country to become involved in a large war.
That is not to say we will have peace anytime soon. There are plenty of hotspots that require attention now and in the near future. The middle east will take a lot of world attention for a number of years yet.

I think there will be a third world war as soon as there is a nuke weilding world leader crazy enough to use them for something other than deterrence. There is a reason the US has thousands upon thousands of nukes yet gripes when another country wants to create just one. Presently, everyone is too afraid too hit US, which is how we like it. But fear is an emotion, and as such is built to be intense yet temporary. When our enemies are no longer afraid, there will be trouble. A third world war would be the most destructive yet. Nukes have came a long way since WW2.

The bible never expicitly says that there will be a 3rd world war, thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard. In Matt 24:6 it says that there will be wars and rumors of wars, nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom. Now, I believe if you look at history this has already taken place many times, the bible never specifically refers to any war. I don't see a 3rd world war ever happening, mostly because technology has changed so drastically. War has inevitably changed due to nuclear weapons. We won't ever have a world war because we will be in nuclear deadlock, just like the cold war. Of course there will be wars, but none on the grand scale like your talking about.

Yeah, eventually there will be a MAJOR 3rd World War, something on the scale of the Second World War. Most probably it will be fought in Central Asia, over control of untapped oilfields there (there are several). The U.S., China, and Russia will all be involved, as well as most Middle Eastern and Central Asian countries. What happens after is anyone's guess, but the war is coming....probably within 25 years.

Nope. The world is too closely tied together now for a new world war. All of the major powers in the world have too much invested in each other, making war too costly. Invading countries like Iraq and North Korean is relatively cheap, but a large WW3 scale war seems impossible.

they did, look up the League of international locations, even with the undeniable fact that usa did no longer connect by using it prepared to maintain an isolationist coverage which undermined it. there have been different issues that stopped it appearing effectively in scuffling with the upward push of Germany and Japan.

The answer is yes. We don't know when. The Bible says that only God knows. We don't know when. It could happen in our lifetime, it could happen long after we die. Everything in God's time. Jesus is coming back. we just don't know when. Only God knows.
