Agnosticism is the philosophical view that the (truth) values of certain claims—particularly theological claims regarding the existence of God, gods, or deities—are unknown, inherently unknowable, or incoherent, and therefore, (some agnostics may go as far to say) irrelevant to life. Agnostic refers to what a person knows. It means being without knowledge. A person can be agnostic about anything, and everyone is agnostic about the existence of any gods.

Agnostic comes from a Greek word that means "not knowing" which basically means that an agnosticist does not know if God is real. therefore they don't believe. Atheism means not believing God is real.

Atheists believe there is no god, whereas agnostics believe it is beyond our comprehension to really know if there is or is not a god.
