I think you probably know the answer to this question. If any church is the true church of God, you can expect Satan to do his best to work against it. Of course this does not mean that God's church will be the only church to be persecuted, but it stands to reason that God's church will not exist without persecution. That's how it has been for thousands of years.

I'm not rude to Mormons because I don't know many but I think one of the reasons others are is because you all are so different from every one else. You have very strict moral codes which is great BUT you use these to buy your way into heaven which is impossible! Unfortunately, you aren't Christians because you don't believe in Christs' death on the Cross as your ONLY salvation. You believe he is a god (little g intended) just as you will be a god when you've done all the things you're required to do. Each man (men are supreme in the LDS church) will become a god when he has attained perfection. As a god, he will rule on a planet of his own. He and his wife (if he chooses to call her, lucky her), will create spirit babies which will be in spirit prison until someone on earth has a baby for them to attain physical manifestation and work for perfection to start the whole cycle anew. I don't understand how any rational person can believe what Mormons believe because when you look at it rationally, it makes no sense whatsoever! God is just man perfected? Then where did he come from? Somewhere, there had to be a first. In Christianity, God is, was and always will be. In Mormonism, who is the original god who created all?

Mormonism is easy to pick on because they have such strange ideas. They aren't the only ones though. So do Jehovah's, Muslims and others. You just feel like you're being picked on because you're the one with the beliefs.

I think it's wrong to bash any religion. However, I definitely DO NOT believe anything specific to the Mormon religion. I've always seen it in this manner:
The "founder" of the Mormon religion was what 21 when he set out west. I think that he was just a kid who decided to play a game with the people he was with. And, it sort of got out of hand, and became the religion.
I mean most other religions have some similarities which, to me, seems to make them more believable. The fact that ONLY the Mormon religion sees it as Jesus ever going to the USA, and the fact that it is NOT mentioned ANYWHERE in the REAL bible, I just find it hard to believe.
Though, I'm not saying that I am all knowing. It just seems more believable that the 21 year old kid got caught up in a game he was playing with the rest of the people, and it became a religion. Where is the proof of any of that stuff?
That is just my views on the Mormon religion. But, I would never pick on them just because that is what I believe. In fact, my ex-husband's family are Mormon. I just don't understand the religion.

No one should be picked on for their beliefs though, no matter what they are. I'm sorry for all the picking on any receive because of their beliefs. But, it is just to be expected. Especially in this world.

People forget that you guys are Christian too. See, most people have some sort of dislike for people who don't believe like they do. And it's not just Mormons, it Jews and Pagans and pretty much everyone. Besides, everyone's religion is put down sometimes. Just keep your head held high and don't stoop to their level. You'll be fine, just ignore them. Arguing will get you nowhere that you want to be. I don't understand how other people believe what they do but I have at least 3 Mormon friends. Mormonism is strict and I don't understand it but I believe in religious tolerance and I don't say anything. Everybody should respect one another's belief system.

The only thing that I understand about Mormon's that is different from me, is that they seem really strict. I have no clue why people would be that cruel to Mormon's. There are always people in this world who have nothing better to do than to find something different than them and try to destroy it. I do not understand Mormon's, and probably never will, but I am very sorry that you have had to deal with that hate that you have!

As I have said before some of the most wonderful people I know are Mormon. I love them.. However they are misguided and in need of the truth. They are led by their prophets of today more then the inerrant word of God. They are told that Joseph Smith was a prophet from God and it is proven that he dabbled in all kinds of cults before recieving the golden plates. I know about Mormons because I have relatives which are mormon and I took lessons from them, went to their church, so I am speaking of something I know about. They do not believe Jesus was God in human form, they believe you get to heaven by works, and on and on goes the list of things they have been brainwashed . That doesn't mean they are bad people. But I know when one comes to my house I will invite them in and we will have a good talk because I know the true Lord and Savior. They cannot answer my questions that I will put to them because they are not led by the spirit of God.

I definitely have met one Mormon in my existence and a area from the reality that he tried to transform me he exchange right into a sturdy guy. i think of many people have themes with Mormonism with the aid of finished polygamy element. Now i be responsive to no longer all Mormons are polygamists yet no longer all Muslims are terrorists the two and that doesn't stop people from believing it.

Hi - I'm in Australia, and find that over here the groups that try to push their religions onto others cop the most abuse and being made fun of. Saying that, my personal opinion is 'to each their own'.

I tell ya what, sweetheart (can I call you sweetheart?) Stop banging on my door at 7 o'clock in the blasted morning, trying to convert me and what not even though there's a big sign in my door that reads BABY SLEEPING DO NOT DISTURB and I'll stop being rude. I respect a person's right to their religion, but I want them to respect MY right to privacy and sanctity in my own home.

AS you can see what type of people in these answers.

LDS is different. Just like Jesus Christ was different in his ministry days.
The adversary works hard to destroy the truth, cause confusion,
so many will stumble and fall.
