On 42nd st/ Broadway (times square), there are two movie theaters across from each other. Uh, it's NYC anywhere you go is expensive ($10 tickets) so be forewarned...

Loews/AMC Theatre on Broadway & 67th Street.
Included among the 8 theatres is an IMAX Theatre which is stadium styled with dolby sound system. http://www.moviewatcher.com/theatres/theatre_information.jsp?unit=2116

Radio City Music Hall does NOT show movies!

It's near the new Time Warner Building (worth a visit), Lincoln Center, Central Park, and everything else is only a quick subway ride away. (Subways located a block from theatre.)
