:)
I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).
Cordially,
John

Hello,
I think what you feel now is a fake feeling! It is only a transaction period. I advise you to read through the major religions in the world and see which one suits you more.. you can read either about Christianity, Islam or Judaism. If you did not find any of these convincing, then you can read about the other religions..
being an Atheists is much harder than having a God.. trust me.. if you get in troubles and life gets dark.. you will not think about any one who will rescue you because you think there is no one greater than us who can help, however, if you think that God exists and he is watching you, then you will have at least some courage...
prayers are always good to purify your soul...
Please, think again about your decision and make sure that what you feel is a real comfort not a fake feeling
good luck

Before you make that step think for a bit, is it God or religion that you don't believe in?
Religion was made by MAN and so is fallible. God did not tell us how to worship, MAN made those parts up.
I believe in God but also believe that Atheists will be welcome in Heaven if they lived a good life because it was the right thing to do, not to build up points for the afterlife.
BTW- Check out the Baha'i faith, we are the new kids on the block and haven't screwed it up too much yet.
Good life to you

No, you should not convert to atheism for the simple reason that atheism is false. There IS a God.
Which part of Christianity is fake? Is your gripe just about the money given over the years you considered wasted? From feeling stupid to feeling better, is your choice of beliefs based on feelings? Feelings are notoriously bad for determining choices, especially those that matters for eternity!

There are fake people and organizations everywhere. Christianity is not about religion, it's about relationship with Jesus Christ. I am so sorry that you had a bad experience. Please give God a chance. Read the BIble for yourself. Form a relationship with Jesus Christ as your friend. All the good works in the world won't get you into heaven, as suggested by others. Only giving your life to Jesus is what will give you peace.

Dear Sir
I feel truly sorry for you, May God have mercy on your soul.
Best Wishes,
Josh K
P.S. I will also give you my favorite advice for atheists:
There are only two possibilities (worth mentioning at this point)
(1) You are correct and there is no God. when we die we both go nowhere.
(2) I am correct and there is a God. I go to heaven and you....don't.
Even if there is only one chance in a million that I'm right, can you take the chance and not consider whether I'm right?

Too bad you missed GOD!...guess you have to use some excuse!.....I suggest you read C. W. Lewis Book because you have to be open to receive GOD His Way, Not Your Way, this is how some people convert into atheism because they never opened their Heart to Let GOD In, then they say there is no GOD!.....you need to know this so you can really examine your situation!...your choice!......I also suggest you view (John's) testimony!.....ps. here is also a site that may have answers for you if you want them!....http://www.godsci.org/gs/godsci/evidence

Maybe all the time you wasted in church you should have been in school learning how to spell... or use the spell check. At least now you'll have time to devote to those things.

Check yourself for the last time ..... before you become athiest. Check other religions, especially Islam.
And thereafter, you cant take a decision as you wish.
