I have great sympathy for you. My Mom and I both have lived through my stomach problems. I get something called gastroenteritis. Inflamation of the intestinal lining. The pain was very similar to gallstones. I had 4 Hepa lite scans for them to figure this out. I also had a giant hiatal hernia, which I have since had fixed. My Mom has diverticulitus, which to me sounds more like what you might have. You do need to get a "Good Doc" and get him to help you nutritionally first. Second, it might help if you do go to a Therapist. Folks with stomach problems, sterotypically have lots of stress or feelings that they keep buried. It would not hurt you to let that stuff out. Also, sounds like your electrolites are out of balance. Ask the pharmacist to recommend the best thing to restore electrolites, I don't think that it is Gatorade because of all the sugar. One more thing , I use something called a "castor oil pack". I learned this Edgar Cayce's Massage Spa. It is an undyed wool cloth that you saturate with cold pressed castor oil and you lay this over your stomach for an hour , lay plastic on top of it and have a heating pad on top of that (on low). Keep a plastic sheet under you to catch any dripping oil. This is an amazing alternative to pain meds. I feel great after having this on for an hour. It helps your stomach so much!!Go to www.edgarcayce.org and search castor oil packs. You will be glad you made the effort! Best of Luck!

welcome to life after gall bladder surgery. I had mine taken out whe I was 19 and I am 26 now. My mom and two of my friends have had the same surgery. Now that you don't have your gb, it is harder for your body to digest certain foods. especially ones that are high in grease. Also, it's good to stay away from alot of chocolates. I had the same problem and the doctor told me to keep a diary of the foods i ate and the problems I had afterwards like cramping etc. then study the diary to see what types of foods bother you. I feel your pain as i go through the same everyday as well. I have the same bathroom issues and get bad cramps in my stomach, especially if i know i have eaten the "wrong" food. You might want to meet with a nutritionalist once or twice to talk about foods to avoid and what to eat. Good Luck:)

id suggest going to the doctors to figure out whats wrong, Are you sure this isnt just stress your body is dealing with? it usually takes about 18 hours for food to pass through your entire system. Hope you feel better soon!
