I felt two recent earthquakes, and there was thunder and hard rain for a little while recently. My Dad was saying that he thought it might be the end of days soon, because of the weird, HOT weather and everything. I don't think anything is wrong. I think the world is going to last forever for some reason. But I guess everything will dissolve, so maybe the world will dissolve in a few million years.

Respected Anglican author N.T. Wright (he is considered conservative) has this to say about the end of times.

" Apocalyptic is the symbolic and richly-charged language of protest, affirming that God’s kingdom will come on earth as it is in heaven—not in some imagined heavenly realm to be created after the present world has been destroyed."

When we read the Bible literally and NOT in context of the times it was written, we find ourselves coming to all kinds of "interesting" conclusions. I don't believe the world is about to end.

I think if Jesus were here today, he would demand that all of us do our part to bring peace, forgiveness, and compassion to the world, and to try to solve our many problems around the world. There have always been wars, famine, earthquakes...How we respond to human suffering is what really matters.

I odn't know about "days," but in another 37 mins, we'll see the end of THIS one...

As for the "apocalypse" - according to many articles of many faiths - any who claim to know are wrong.

Guess I'll find out if and when it happens, like the rest of us, and Pat Robinson. Or is it Robertson?

I think that throughout the centuries people have thought it was very close to the end of days.
