You can use a small star stencil, or perhaps a small round pencil eraser that you can dip into the star color (to make small dots with).

Put your big shapes in first, then the small ones. To create a "Milky Way" star-cloud appearance, take a small sponge and LIGHTLY apply a few streaks of diluted star color in the desired area. You can add larger "stars" to this after it dries.

Don't forget to use different colors for your stars, and to make them different sizes.

Also, for a neat effect: get some "bling" jewels..the kind you get out of a kid's quarter-eating-vending machine, and apply them to a FEW of the stars you have painted. Don't overdo this, or it will look cheezy.

You may want to get a good star map to help you make constellations.

First, paint your cieling with shades of dark blue and Black.
Preferably use airspray for this one.

using the white painth on the same air spray. turn the nozzle off not too tight so the paint would scatter in small dots. start painting with large gap between areas with very light spray.

grab an old toothbrush and dip it in white paint to add some detials. remove the excess paint, do not let the paint start dripping over your floor.
place your thumb over the wet brush, then start scrapping the brush to make little spots on the design.

add some yellow, orange and light blue for other details.

i will believe lots of the solutions above. whilst there is not a significant marketplace for action picture star painted ceiling enthusiasts, there could be a marketplace for custom painted ceilings. go searching at different painters on your section interior the telephone e book. See what they focus on and see in case you're able to do it greater effective. Even greater effective, see if there's a niche contained obtainable which you will fill in. possibly there at the instant are not any custom painters on your section, that would desire to be a niche. i does not supply up your interest yet, yet i think of that with slightly of marketplace learn you will discover out what human beings interior the section are searching for for which you will grant. think of much less approximately money and greater approximately interest. Human skill and spirit might desire to be meditated on your business enterprise. which will talk louder than words and is a helpful message to place across.

This sounds like an awesome project. Please contact me with some photos of the finished product.

Anyway, no matter how you decide to create these stars {stencil, stamping or freehand} just remember to have them in different sizes. The size - at this point - will determine distance, which in turn will show depth.

Have Fun, Good Luck and God Speed!

glow in the dark paint.. it can either be somewhat invisible during the day, or those hot colors and really pop and glow after the light has been on them for a while ..
Sounds like a wonderful themed room.. going to show us the finished results..?
