people always tell me that i'm really attractive. so, I see these guys at stores and parties and stuff like that and they check me out. my friends point it out when i don't see it (and when i do), and when i go out with my family they point it out, too. so my question is: why don't these guys approach me? right now, i'm too shy to go up to them, so . . .*shrugs*

They may be intimidated if you are like drop dead gorgeous. Also, your shyness may be making you look away too soon which will make most guys think your not interested. Us guys look for sutile clues that a girl is interested. Try looking them in the eyes a little longer before you look away. Smiling also helps.

MAybe they atre intimidated. Make Eye contact. I am shy too, but I learned to try to make eye contact. So if you catch a guy checking you out, or someone points it out too you. Dont stare but try to hold their gaze for about 3 seconds, then a while later do it again. It will work. Guys wont just walk up to a chick unless they are pretty sure she wont mind. This is the way to do it.

wooah.....i get this too.. im like why the **** don't they come talk to me?! The thing that makes the most sense that i've heard is that they are intimidated. And they are afraid of being turned down or whatever... hey, im to shy to approach them too... but i guess since they have gotta start doing it soon then i might as well... i mean whats the verry worst that could happen?
okay.. i guess if ur at a party and people are drinking they could throw up on your face... but stil.. thats fixable

Many many girls are pretty but dont look inviting or friendly enough. So practice some smile and look them in the eye. The secret is to make them feel approaching you is okay and they won't get rejected. Another reason is, maybe you are pretty and at the same time looked like you have a strong personality (?). You need to practice some "friendly looks".

in a guy's point of view, if a guy doesn't approach the girl.. he may be scared/nervous that he'll screw everything up, OR he might be in a relationship and just glanced on you, OR he's gay, OR he might think that the girl's out of his league
