Blame the dog. Make mention of the squeaky floor. Give a nasty look in somebody elses direction. Claim T.V. has gotten way too realistic. Tell her, don't worry, you won't tell, that everybody does it. Say your body just self-exorcided a demon the al naturale way, and that you are feeling much better now. Or own up to it and smile real W I D E.

It is a natural body function. Make light of it and excuse yourself and go on with your evening. Your date will know you are human and will be able to relax with you.
