I am in highschool this year. Last year in 8th I moved from my school I'd went to for 7 years to another school where I knew no one. Now I moved back to the cpounty where all my friends are from my old school, which are all now in highschool like me. They remember me of course, because I saw them today when I went to register. But in 1 of my classes I know no one, and none of my friends are in that class- which happens to be my homeroom. What would you suggest? And do you think I'll have the same lunch period as my friends in a highschool of about 1000? Thanks to anyone who can tell me anything at all!!

Don't stress. High school is so much different than Jr. High and elementary. You coped with a new school last year, and you will cope again. With 1000 kids in a school, you will make new friends. Chances are you will have lunch with some of your former friends and some of the new friends you will meet. I suggest you just relax and enjoy the new school. High school can be fun if you make the most out of it. Good luck.

Weird ending to the question but hey, I am a guy who went to 5 different schools but ended up changing schools 2 weeks before high school started, and I knew no one! Luckily I got to complete the 4 years of high school at the same place, but here is my point.
Throughout highschool I wanted everyone to know my name and to like me, god what an awful ficad to live into. Only till I was 20 did I realize, who cares what people think. That is it, WHO CARES! I am not going to keep the cliches coming because they are meaningless, but I am now 22 and live a happy healthly life after going through phases with drinking and pot smoking, even taking shrooms because it was cool to do. Only now do I notice that the people doing the things that were "off the beaten path" were doing the truly excellent things FOR THEMSELVES. You are a step ahead of me, you already know a lot of people, high school is big, if you are who you want to be then the people who like you for that are the people you should get to know, they will be the ones truely looking out for you. Granted they are a bunch of crack heads or dope fiends.
One more thing, I did not decide I wanted to go to college until a year and a half ago and then finally realized I wanted "the college experience" WHICH IS F-in AWESOME, but it took a lot more time and work than it should have. Point being, even if you do not want to go right now, doesn't mean you won't want to later. I learned that the hard way, but moved to San Diego a month ago after graduating a junior college and the dream has been accomplished.

Best of luck to you,
David

By the way, Sit with whoever you want to :) They are all trying to look their best as anyone else and are too caught up in that game to even notice age or class

If you're not with your friends it's not a big deal. Take the time to meet new people and maybe make more friends.
