yet again a major problem i have a little star that tells me i may be a victim of counterfeiting, i do have genuine windows xp home and have never had problems before each time i try and sort out my internet explorer 6 cannot find microsoft page or wont upgrade ????

Well, you may have a genuine looking fake. I would contact the person who gave you that and demand a refund. Looks like you might have to buy a license from Microsoft.

Your windows xp cd is counterfeit. It may look genuine, but it's not! I guess you have to buy a new OS.

1. Does your XP Validate?
2.If Yes.Get the Beta 7, it's better.
3.If no....Get FireFox. Get it anyway. It will remind you of IE6 (But it works better)
4. If you get Beta 7, and like it. That's all.
4b.If you get it and do not want it...uninstall it and then go to

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx

This is the New IE homepage. (Try it first for your update on 6 if you wish. It has the correct link to IE 6 on the left.)

NOTE: IF you do not have sp2 installed you will have to get it to continue updates and get you browser fixed anyway!!!!!!!!!!
