Oh, gosh, "Brook H" there is ONLY ONE sure-fire methoud of eliminating that awful "cat-pee" oder from your house!
You have to ELIMINATE THE CAT!
You can feel grateful that they have not (yet) developed the habit of urinating on the electrical burners of the stove! (Been there, done that!) But honestly, the real solution to your problem is simple and it took me decades to learn........
.........GET A DOG!
They can be trained! Cats CANNOT!

There is only one produce I've ever found that truly gets out odors. It is called Nature's Miracle and you can order it from PetSmart or any on-line pet product store. However, don't follow the directions. Absolutely soak the carpet all the way through the padding. This is an enzyme based product and won't harm your sub floor. In fact, it will even get the odor out of the sub floor if you really soak it. Also, if the odor is horrible use it full strength. Finally, I put plastic over the areas and leave it for several days. I know this is contrary to the directions, but the product breaks down the organic materials and literally "eats" up the residue. The down side is that it will smell bad as it is working. Once it has finished there isn't any smell. I have 7 miniature dachshunds and have had years of experience with this. Once I used about 5 gallons of it in a room, covered the carpet with plastic, and went on vacation for a week. If the product dries or evaporates too soon it just will get the surface smells out and they'll come right back. Good luck.

With all those three competing - you have your hands full. Nature's Miracle is great. I even spray it inside my garbage can to eliminate odor. Our cat doesn't pee anywhere, thankfully. But it's also good for cleaning up an occasional vomit accident.
Maybe you should confine the cats to a room without carpet or upholstery for a while, try to have the house cleaned of the odors and then figure out what to do.
This seems like quite a challenge, good luck.

Try febreeze, you will have to do it a few times, but it got rid of my moms cat smell. Have you had them fixed? That may help. Have you tried a pet repellent to keep them off of things that you don't want them on. Baking soda will also take odors out. Lemon juice will just stain light color fabrics. Another thing that may help is to steam clean the carpets and furniture and use a pet odor remover. You can get your own steam cleaner for under $100.

The only think I know to use it Nature's Miracle or some other pet odor cleaner with enzymes. Unfortunately, once that smell is set it's hard to get rid of and cats will keep going in the same place over and over.

Hello, get a product called Knock-Out, it will take out all smells from pets. Use it on there litter everytime you scoop and make sure the litter is super clean.
Cats are very fussy about their litter and this may be why they go on other things.
Good luck

We had the same problem with our cats peeing on our new leather sofas. We used some febreeze and carpet deodorizer (yes, its supposed to be for carpets, but it works great anyways). Also, if you havent done so already, get your cats spayed/neutered. That helps stop them from peeing on everything. We did that for our cats and ever since they havent touched our furniture.

we had a bed that the cats liked to use and we had to throw it out, it stunk up the room really bad and with the bed gone, the room smells so much better
we had 2 bean bags we had to throw away too, luckily they don't use the other furniture as the litter box
so i don't think there is anything that really works
