Here are some REALLY good, and very inexpensive ways to treat most acne at home. Try each method (unless you’re allergic to the ingredients) until you find one that works best for you. Good luck =) BTW, I know some of these may sound bizarre but try them…what have you got to lose other than the acne!!
1. Put toothpaste on your acne before going to bed. (Make sure it is paste not gel). It should reduce the swelling of acne noticeably.
2. Dab egg whites on your acne and leave on for 20 minutes or overnight. It’s supposed to pull the infection out of the blemish.
3. Wash acne infected areas twice a day with warm salt water. This reduces oils in the skin and helps to dry the acne up without further agitation.
4. Use ice on acne before going to bed. This works best on pimples that have not yet formed a head. It reduces swelling and helps to prevent scarring.
5. Wash and dab acne with cotton balls that have been soaked in vinegar. Let dry; do not wash off immediately.
6. Place strawberries leaves over your acne and the alkalinity will help to reduce the swelling.
7. Try taking salmon oil supplements (found in health food stores and vitamin shops).
*Always drink plenty of water, eat healthy foods and get exercise.

This is probably the worst advice I can possibliy give someone, but it workes for me.
Put your face in the sun. The UV rays kill bacteria which causes acne. My son had acne on his back early this spring really bad, and he started canoeing with his shirt off and got a sun tan. His acne on his back is gone now.
I have a terrible complexion and am always happy when summer arrives, so I can get a sun tan and it makes my pimples clear up. Its free and works better than any acne medication I have ever taken.
The whole thing is not to get a major sunburn, but just enough sun to get those pimples right out of there.
True story!!!

obviously the bar soap isn't helping you...try switching to a cleanser for sensitive skin - which will keep your skin from getting irritated (which makes acne worse)...you can also try an astrigent or a cream with salicylic acid.. be warned though that those can cause irritation and dryness.

uhm it depends on what bar of soap your talking about. and if you have alot of pimples. i recommend you not use the soap. you need a special acne soap. i reccomend something from clinique. but if all you have is a bar of soap. uhm... rinse really well, and DO NOT SCRUB. scrubbing will make it worse, and it'll leave alot of marks.

Maybe you have rubbing alcohol in that medicine cabinet. Wipe a little on with a cotton ball after washing your face. This worked for my older son.
