I assume the mahoghany is a deep reddish tone? Try granites called "Jupurana Santa Cecilia", "Giallo Santo", "Giallo Portofino" (my personal favorite) or "Venetian Gold". All these granites have earth tones that will compliment the color of the wood and they also have some garnet flecks in them that pull out the red in the wood.
Unfortunately, commercial granite names are not standardized so what one vendor calls it may not be what it's called by another vendor. Try going to this website http://www.arizonatile.com so you can get an idea of what the granites I mentioned look like and print them out. You can try asking for them by name but, in the event that they call it something different, take the print outs as back up to show them what you're looking for and ask if they have something similar to it.
Keep in mind that seeing it in person will do a lot more justice than a picture on a computer but at least you will have some idea of what it looks like. If none of these appeal to you and you want something complimentary but not so "earthy" try a blue or green granite (there are too many to list but you will also see them on the website above). Bear in mind though that blue and green granites are considered "exotics" and are considerably more pricey.
As for hardwood flooring, there are many choices but, since traditional mahoghany tends to be very dark, I would try something with the same red tones but in a lighter shade. You don't want to go too brown because it will clash with the mahoghany.
If possible, bring a sample of your cabinet (or remove a door or drawer front) and bring it with you to the showrooms so that you can be sure that what you are choosing is complimentary. Also, ask at the showrooms for samples of the stone and wood so that you can take them home with you and see how they look in your home's light. Lighting greatly affects the look of an object.
Good luck!

Green granite loooks great with it. It gives it a country feel yet it's still classic. Hardwood would look nice in a brushed chrome or brushed copper. There's actually a reddish/mahogany colored hardwood that would match the cabinets pretty good.
Flooring can be tile that has multi-earth tones in it. There is some slate tile that has browns, reds, greens grays, blacks, creams. quite a mixture, and this is pretty.
There is also black and white checkered. It's very interesting and pretty.
wood floors are always warm, and accent rugs will pick them up a bit.
solid black countertops would look nice as well, just keep the walls and floor lighter colors.
Anyway, good luck!
Have fun:)

I love the warm color granites. Nothing gray or blue, but the classic black goes back to everything. My favorite combo is the mahogany, warm golds and browns, more golds, and oatmeals than dark. You don't want to compete with the wood but compliment the wood. I love brazilian cherry floors but the black granite and black stained floors work wonders with the mahogany as well as the natural stone floor choices, terrazo is my favorite for back splashes and floors. Seal very well and they will last forever.

Since mahogany is so rich and dark you don't want to put something cool and stark with it like white, but you also don't want anything too dark with it. I would use a golden color for flooring and granite, maybe with small specks of reddish brown??
