Marijuana will show up on a tox screen, but why would you be getting a tox screen if you're just checking for anemia? The blood test for anemia is completely different from a tox screen. A tox screen is usually a urine test anyway, but there are blood tox screen tests.

Marijuana will show on a toxicology screen, but they shouldn't be using that if all they are testing for is anemia.
If you are being tested so that you can donate blood or plasma, they usually do tox screens. My cousin donates plasma, and he told me they test for a broad spectrum of illegal substances, including marijuana, heroin, cocaine, and meth.
However, if the doctor is just checking iron levels, as iron deficiency anemia is the most common type in women, they shouldn't be doing a toxicology screen at all.

typically anemia blood test only show iron levels, not a full tox screen. however drug use can lead to anemia and other health complications so be prepared. You can't be arrested for having drugs in the blood stream only for possesing them (which includes getting caught using them). Either way now is a good time to check into rehab.

if they aren't running a tox screen, then it won't show. a tox screen would have to be a seperate test from the test they use to detect anemia (which is usually just pinpricking the finger and taking a drop of blood).

the only way it will show up, is if they were doing a tox screen, and they can't do a drug screening without your permission

I doubt it. Normally on blood tests they only look for what they're testing for. Also if it's just your doctor doing this test, they probably won't care that you're smoking marijuana. They won't tell anybody if it's not affecting your health.

Probably not, unless someone in the lab specifically ordered that screening. I'm not an expert on the topic, but I know that labs typically don't do extra tests (i.e. extra $$), unless they're ordered.

for anemia they're going to do an iron, tibc, and ferritin. not a drug screen. that will only show up if they test for it. oh yeah, and probably a cbc (to do a hemoglobin count)
