Patience, love of children, the never-ending ability to listen (even if you have no idea what your child is talking about) and the integrity of character that can be passed on to a child. Oh, consistency, fairness and firmness never hurt either.

I try to remember that my children have feelings just like I do. I let them tell me what they feel or think but they know that doesn't mean they will get their way. That way, they will hopefully always feel like they can tell me what's going on. I think patience and a great sense of humor help. And making sure your children know you love them by telling them everyday! Being able to act silly with them and kid around with them but also knowing when to be the adult.

Tolerance,patience, understanding, time n attention, be their friend, fool around as well as spank them when u think they really need it. And PLS don't show ur irritation on something else towards them, cos they are the ones, our pet puppies, we only have them to throw our weight around and not be questioned most of the time...poor innocent ones. Give them lots n lots of love, not in terms of money.
