What does it mean if a girl is a tease?

Sorry, I've been wondering what it means for a while now?
If a girl is being a tease, what is she doing?
They say at first it's a turn on, but if it goes too far it's a turn off?
What would "going too far" be?

There is a way that women can use their "wiles" to impress, show affection, tempt, or encourage a man to excitement about what he can 'expect' if he 'selects' to be with her. Then, there is a way that women use these same skills to goad men into doing things for them, buying things for them, encouraging them to do things that they would not ordinarily do in a very negative way. There intent is not to encourate the man to 'like her', but is used in a very selfish way. Once this woman "obtains" what she wants from the man, she is gone - only to perform the same 'tricks' upon another man. Throughout history, women have used their seductive powers of smell, licking their lips, batting eyelashes, painted fingernails and toes, tight or short garments, stockings, open-toed shoes, long, curly hair, seductive, slow walking or dancing, sexy talking (soft voice), or singing, touching a man's chest, hair line, or other places that excite - to get a man's attention. It can be done in such a way that is seductive and acceptable (most men love the attention) or it can be done in a way that promotes vulnerability in a man and therefore he is being 'used'. It can be a great turn on, but going too far would be when only one party benefits in the seduction. *Keep in mind - this has nothing to do with sex. A real woman who knows how to use powers of seductiveness can provide great understanding of the female psyche to build confidence in herself and her mate - but BOTH parties must benefit.

When a girl acts flirty, like she's into the guy, etc. but then goes cold on him when he tries to make a move, that's being a tease. Basically, it's sending mixed signals (I want you, No I don't, Yes I do, Now I don't unless you do x,y,z exactly in that order).

With every guy it's different, and guys DO like some token resistance, so they feel like they have "won" you over. However, when you want a guy, and he wants you... and you keep playing with his emotions, there will come a point where he will get frustrated and look for a more receptive girl.

A girl who is a tease will constantly send signals to a guy that tell him she means to sleep with him, but then she will never let it happen.
