pasta is the italian word for noodle, so it's the same thing and the answer would be YES

yes, and if you take a curly noodle (like rotini), put it in a deep fryer, it'll puff up, put cinnamon and sugar on it and you have an order of Taco Bell's cinnamon twists. (had a buddy that worked there, freaked me out when I watched them do it)
